He is a self confessed winner. Well he needs to get dictionary and look up the word winner.
His football is from a bygone era which i why he has had no success since he left Everton and why he had been unemployed for 18 months before we bought him back.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
I didn't expect to get anything last night. But wanted to see some positives. All i saw was negatives.
When i got back to Piccadilly i heard a city fan on the phone saying "West Ham were ****" he wasn't wrong.

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)
I am going to the game tonight followed by a race back to Piccadilly to get the last train back to Stoke.
Fear it is going to be painful viewing.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020
The point with Cullen is: Is he good enough? Maybe not, most likely not, but the alternatives at the club are not and near £10m on Allen isn’t a good investment. I’d rather have Cullen than Sanchez, and certainly rather than the no midfielders on the bench at the weekend. It’s not comparing him to ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
Don't want Moyes back. I felt he did alright and a couple of decent runs but we also endured a nightmare spell in the February and March. And while I accept he got the best out of Arnie - Moyes himself admitted it was more luck than judgement. Football generally dour like the man himself.

Re: Who Next? The odds
I don't see the point in waiting till this weekends game. If we lose a very winnable game against a relegation rival then we almost certainly be in the dreaded drop zone and he will likely be gone. If we win it will just delay the inevitable.
Strong boards act - ours just dither.

Re: Who Next? The odds
Maybe Bournemouth’s form can be attributable to the fact that Howe has stayed there for as long as he can and the project has gone a bit stale? A bit like what what happened with Pochettino at Tottenham. Maybe the fact that Howe has supposedly shown interest in coming here suggests that he also kno...

Re: Who Next? The odds
Those flip-flop games in the sun at the end of his time here have really distorted people's memory of what it was like for most of it. There's no other premier league club who would take on Moyes as manager. Not even one with a long history with him like Everton. Yes i cant forget having BHA and Sw...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I think the fact that we have a near two week break after Southampton game is a factor. Clubs often act when there a space between fixtures. Lose to Saints and surely enough is enough.

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread
Wolves are a very good side and I dont think too many expected us to get anything from the game. But his was their third game in seven days and they never had to get out of first gear. We started alright and there goal was soft, but we looked slow and laboured, created one chance all game and never ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
MP seems to have no idea tactically. He said prior to game with Sheff Utd that they played direct Championship football which everyone else knows they don't. Played OAP Zabaletta ahead of our quickest defender against Newcastle who have arguably the quickest front line in the league. And last night ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
But why didn't he do this 6/7 games ago? In fact, you support we have the players/squad to compete. Not sure what that has to do with your opening comment. And, I am not supporting Sullivan here. I agree. As delighted as I am with winning on Saturday. Where has that level of effort been for the las...

Does anyone know why the game is a 7:30 kick off? Haven't seem games kicking at that time since the eighties.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
The problem runs deeper than Fabianski being injured. I mentioned the xG rating earlier in the season when we drew with Brighton, but they had so many good chances and we somehow managed to get a draw. Same at Villa, same at Bournemouth. We've only had the better xG against Watford, Norwich and She...

Re: Who Next? The odds
Don't see the fascination with Chris Wilder tbf Plenty of managers have bought their clubs up to the Premier League [surprisingly] and kept them there with that first season buzz and team spirit, and then dropped without a trace If he is still doing it three or four years from now then fair play, b...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
You don't need to take a thing. Just an understanding of how football can be at times both good and bad, as I'm sure so many other WHU fans understand it too. I already know Pellegrini has the ability to get us playing decent football (last season) and to turn things around. And he's done it everyw...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
If MP is sacked then it will cost about £20m. If Rafa, for example, was appointed they’d have to buy out his £12m contract and offer him and his team the same if not more. What funds this? Declan, Anderson or Diop? We’d have to sell at least one to pay for the managerial change and give him a coupl...
