Re: Midweek games
It's getting to the point now where I am starting to enjoy the social media 'fan' meltdowns more than the actual football. Basically every single top club has a load of absolute morons spewing their guts in real time. I don't know what they'd call it out there in Germany, but watching modern footba...

Never even come close to winning a Conference League title.
Not even close, is it??

Small silver lining if us going out costs Spurs a Champions League place.TheHandOfDog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:11 pm So that extra european slot is going to Germany then?
(Big cloud to the silver lining if we finish 8th and miss out on Europe!)

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
The grumbling must be so frustrating for the players. Even if you do everything right in football, most moves will naturally be unsuccessful. Not only is it muggy but incredibly counterproductive. Used to drive me crazy back at Upton Park too. Usually less of a problem under the lights though tbf.

Really? We did used to get a lot more penalties it feels like. Wiki - 262 games 50 goals Transfermarkt - 192 games 29 goals Other sites - 204 games 30 goals Footballdatabase - 199 games 30 goals Other sites - all very different stats How can so many places have such different stats? Shame really. w...

Wikipedia has 64 goals in 315 appearances over the two spells.WestHamLyallStyle wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:34 pm One of my favourite players. No way he scored 64 goals for us though. 40 odd, maybe 50.
Most of the more reliable sources don't go back into the 90s, but very happy to be corrected if someone has a more accurate stat.

Re: Julian's CV
I really cannot accept that overall, the negatives outweighed the positives - certainly not at club level. Even, in the season with the 3 red cards, I think we would have missed out on automatic promotions without his goals and assists - especially in the last 4 games Maybe internationally if compe...

Not really bothered about the result in all honesty, just hoping George is ok. Unfortunately had a clear view of it and it was absolutely horrific. Without going into detail, what happened? The BBC live text said a clash of heads but watching it live it looked more like it might have been his neck ...

You pay big money for those players though because they can do sweet FA for 89 minutes, but then do something no one else can and win the game, like you said. I think its worth the risk though. He hasn't been great though, needs to get in the #10 gap more and feed him because he'll have Ings, Anton...

Chuckle Brothers-style defending, but awful from Paqueta before that too.
Hope he realises that refs have cottoned on to the dives now and cuts them out ASAP.

The way Tony Gale was going on and on about Fulham for a few mins there you'd think this was 8th v. 1st rather than 8th v. 13th
