Re: Where will we finish?
On a quick glance, Man Utd, Newcastle and Brighton all have to play each other. Man Utd’s last 3 games are Arsenal, Brighton, Newcastle. Chelsea have a game in hand and are finishing strongly whilst we have Liverpool and City to play. They will leapfrog us and perhaps go higher. I’ve got us down for...

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11
His stats at Man City were really mediocre - I certainly wasn't sold on him because of that. Didn’t he score in a couple of big games then they sold him? Might have been Charity Shield or FA Cup final. Makes you think where Paqueta will fit in that squad if they couldn’t gibe Palmer regular game ti...

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11
What a player Palmer is, totally humiliated Brathwaite for his first.
Still hard to fathom why City sold him. FFP must be the only reasonable explanation.

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm
Why not give Oggy a run out, he is more capable than Aguerd I’m not against the idea, don’t get me wrong Ogbonna has been a fantastic servant to the club. And when called upon he has stepped up (bar Topola). I actually think it was the pairing change that led to Mavro making that mistake yesterday....

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm
Looking at MOTD highlights I don't think any real blame on Mav or Paqueta is warranted for the goals. Mav was stretching to stop the cross getting into a possible dangerous situation where a Fulham player could be running onto. Mavropanos basically brought the ball down and tee’d up Perreira for a ...

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm
I feared the worst when I saw the team sheet. We don’t have a good enough bench to be able to rotate players. Only 2 changes but it looked like 11 players who’d never played together. God knows what positions they were playing, I think some players didn’t know themselves. I saw Antonio switch to LW ...

Ings and Aguerd? Not sure this is the game to be rotating in if we’re pushing for another European spot.

Re: Postecoglou: are the cracks beginning to show? [non WHU]
“Right way” at Newcastle though? Unless you have the resources of a Man City or Real Madrid to begin to think that there is one “right way” to play irrespective of who the opposition is or where the game is being played is naive at best, more like plain stupid. I suspect that Newcastle have had few...

Fair play to Ange, he set his team up to play “the right way” though.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
. They played very well first half and were punished by a couple of defensive errors. Tbh you could attribute this to quite a few of our games this season. We’ve made some terrible defensive errors costing us league points. But from what I can remember Dunk had a particularly bad game, as he did wi...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Sometimes european games are dead after the first leg (see brighton). The aim was to keep it alive. It's slipping into unconciousness but it still has a pulse. Yes Brighton got smashed 4-0 at the Olympico, but the media will stroke off De Zerbi all day long for trying to play football in “the right...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
And we had 25% possession at The Emirates back in December.
Would have come away with a 3-0 win too if Benny scored that penalty.
