Re: Away tickets 2019 / 2020 season

It was very generous of Northern Rail to cancel the only train post kick off going back to Preston.

The taxi drivers of Blackburn must have made a fortune on Saturday night...

We are just not strong enough there.
You'd like us to sign an overseas player to replace Rice?

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Didn't Perez start games ahead of Hernandez last season? Which would suggest there was at least an argument that at times he was 3rd choice then as well. We all know that Hernandez wants to leave if there's an opportunity as he wants to start. But there have also been many reports from people in her...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I love this thread - for the last week it's been full of demands that we need another striker having got rid of Arnie, Perez and AC9.

Now it looks like we're going to sign one and it's all speculation about how we must be moving Hernandez on, how we can't possibly keep 3 strikers happy, etc...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

My post was in no way a defence of the owners, merely pointing out how tedious the net spend chat is.

It's similarly tedious that it feels like every post on here has to come with a statement about your feelings towards the board.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

The net spend argument is so tedious though. If we get Cardoso across the line then in the past 12 months we'll have signed 2 highly rated young CBs and an experienced international that many consider to be the key to our defence for ~£30M. Brighton spent £22M on some lad from Bristol City, Leiceste...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

So it seems it’s Goncalo Cardoso - Left footed, ball playing type CB. I’ll take that, especially at the same price we sold Reece Oxford for. A lot of people seem to think he’ll be challenging for a first team spot sooner rather than later too. Sounds like some potentially very shrewd business :thup...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I'm trying to get excited by the season, but I'm finding myself unable to. I've got this nagging feeling that we're an injury to Haller or Rice away from being in the poo. I'm happy with the business regarding ins for outfield players so far , but if the windows closes and that's the grand sum of o...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

It's worrying that the noises coming out of the club, is that a new CB is our priority. That won't stop our midfield from being outmuscled, and overrun! I've seen pezza on here say there's no chance that we're signing a CB, but that we're waiting for things to fall into line for a defensive CM. He ...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Unless someone comes in for Ogbonna, were not signing a CB - we've got 4, plus Rice plus Cresswell, Zabaleta, Sanchez, Oxford if absolutely necessary.

Hopefully we'll bring in a young CM, similar to Obiang to learn from Noble over the season and to cover whenever Wilshere is injured.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Hasn't played a minute of senior football since the charity shield last season.

Only 22 appearances the season before.

Clearly his face didn't fit at Chelsea, but it'd be a massive gamble to believe he could recreate his brief form alongside Kante 4 years ago.
