Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
hence Sullivan's asset stripping in January. I wouldn't be surprised if Sullivan pockets the Paqueta money and then rides off into the sunset on a miniature poodle. He doesn't personally get paid by Man City though. The club receives the money. Having £85M appear on the books would obviously make t...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
With The Boleyn - wasn't it the case that indeed the club received money for it, but from a company that immediately then sold it on for much more. And that Sullivan had a stake in that intermediary?
So the club should have benefitted to the tune of many millions more than it did.

What's this better job that Moyes has lined up? Sorry if already answered somewhere in the thread.the pink palermo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:31 pm FWIW short of winning the Europa League (33/1), Moyes is off, his choice, a better job already lined up.

Re: Stopping the cheating
Players and managers are under strict restrictions as to what can be said about refereeing decisions, so diplomacy is probably the only way of talking about it. However, fans aren’t and this is where I think supporters associations should join together and have an absolute pile on at reffing / VAR....

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
I wonder if Toney would even consider rejoining Newcastle. He may feel he has unfinished business there, or he may feel like it is a backwards step to end up back there.

Paqueta will definitely be happy to turn down the trophies and pay at Man City for the chance to play with Toney

Re: Away Tickets Thread - Leverkusen S/O 51+ Pts
I went to Leverkusen vs stuttgart about 9/10 years ago and was in f4, it was full of stuttgart fans so it seems like the norm. Does beg the question as to why we only got the smaller away allocation then if they're happy to have away fans in the 'home' end. Did WHU not ask for the bigger allocation...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
I agree it's unlikely that any manager would throw those three - or any of the U21s - into first team football straight away, but that's kind of the point. We'll likely need to sign a new senior back four in the summer which BF, rightly, said would be mad. But that's the position we've put ourselve...

Not to turn this into a Moyes thread argument - but which manager we could bring in is going to suddenly give those players a first team place?Phil Parkes' Gloves wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 7:49 am A counter argument might that we'll promote Scarles, Casey and Battrum to the first team squad, but if Moyes stays on that seems pretty unlikely.

Current UEFA coefficient rankings (for what they are worth) added below Atalanta. 22 SL Benfica. 20 Bayer 04 Leverkusen. 18 Liverpool FC. 5 Olympique de Marseille. 46 AC Milan. 29 AS Roma. 9 West Ham United FC. 24 So we are middle of the pack-ish If you do it based solely on the 3 years we've been ...

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24
If Villa win the ECL and qualify for EL or CL through league placing (which is likely) then I believe their EL place for winning the ECL is allocated based on league position. Happy to be corrected, but my understanding is that if Villa qualify for either the CL or EL via the league, and also win t...
