I’ve just noticed that Bassey is a Salthouse client?
Well that's in the bag then... £9M up front and another £9M kind of disappearing without trace :newthumb:

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

If you want to use past transfers as a benchmark, we sold Nathan Paterson for 14m who is vastly inferior and played a lot less for us. Bassey is the bigger prospect and has done it at a higher level consistently. On top of that he can play CB and LB, tricky, fast and powerful. I know you English do...

Re: ✍ Nikola Vlasic

He is still a young player. He's only 24 and has been very good in other leagues. Some people go on about Everton, but he was a kid at the time and came in behind three other number 10s, including Rooney and Sigurddsen, who was their record signing. He is a top athlete and will get better as time g...

Re: ✍ Nikola Vlasic

He’s going to be a player next season, I’m convinced. You don’t get 35 caps for Croatia if you’re useless. He has been played in various positions this season and just needs a proper pre-season to see how he fits in. I don’t see us selling him. I could actually see Benrahma being sold ahead of him....

Same, but only if his fitness wasn't a doubt.

Always been a decent player, but injuries have had a big impact on his time at clusterfuck united

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

Judging from recent red cards and penalties conceded, having a defender with pace to recover could be very useful. Not wrong there, and I am sure he has a lot more to his game. Pace has been Fredericks biggest asset, and with him going/gone we could do with another with a bit of zip about him. Bass...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

I think i’ve only watched him once but this is the sort of signing I like if it’s a lowish fee. Same here, in the final on Wednesday, and he was one of Rangers better players. That said, some of his better moments were from using his pace to get himself out of trouble from errors of his own making....

Re: The next gig you're going to

Sure was Billy. Milkshakes, The Dentists, The Prisoners and The Claim. Went to see The Claim at 100 Club a few years back as part of a Medway Weekender. I went to school with a few of the lads from The Claim. Good lads and a good band. I went to the 2nd night (i think) of that weekender - Len Price...

Re: The next gig you're going to

They're at the Albert, which will suit them down to the ground. I sort of get The Len Price 3 and The Len Bright Combo mixed up in the memory banks sometimes, but they're equally awesome Medway garage stuff, so it's all good. Blimey, there's a name I haven't heard for a number of years the Len Brig...

Re: Coronavirus

Still got a cough and a sore throat every evening - sinuses seem to have cleared - this is the strangest bug I’ve ever had and certainly the longest lasting I’ve ever had. If this is long covid it’s a massive ****. I don't tend to wander into NUMB very often, but this has caught my attention - very...

Sir Alrx got his own back.on Glasgow Rangers. Scorer of the only goal fir Berwick Rangers in a 1-0 Scottish Cup match, back in the 60's. This is still considered the greatest ever Cup shock in Scottish football history
But the headline never reached Super Caley go ballistic levels

Crazy that's 10 years ago :shocker: Wonderful day out, Allardyce almost became likeable what with the Paradise song etc. I bumped into Jack Collison a few days before and despite having a shoulder injury (if memory serves me right) he said he would 100% be playing. Didn't realise that Sullivan pushe...

I'm going to see them in Brighton in July. The Fallen Leaves are playing with them at the 100. Sounds like a great night. It will be, they never disappoint :newthumb: As I am from Medway originally a lot of their songs resonate with me what with their local references. Where are they playing in Bri...

I like that series and am about 2 episodes left in the last one to be "aired." no spoilers but f**k me, Nicola Walker has done nothing but cry throughout the entire episodes that I've watched so far. No spoilers from me... My wife cried about as much as Nicola Walker did throughout

Some sad faces getting off of planes in Glasgow this morning. They had a good run, punched above their weight and had the trip of a lifwtime. They went a round furthee than us and beat a couple of good sides faie and square. Hats off to them. Pretty much how I see it. Took a look at some of their p...

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

Bowen is surely a dead cert for the next England squad. He'll be miles ahead of Rashford and Sancho right now, both have had appalling seasons. Must be above Grealish too. Who else would be his direct rivals? Sterling, Foden and Saka? Can't see Southgate dropping any of those three, but easily room...
