Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
If (still a big if) we were to get Paqueta over the line, that would take our spending close to £200m, which I'm sure most on here would not have believed back in June. It got me wondering whether this is the window that we promised Declan to get him to sign a new contract, ie look, we really are am...

Re: ⚽ Leeds United v West Ham United: match thread (11/12)
Now that performance was very easy on the eye. I wanted DM in to make us more solid, difficult to beat, no one's pushover. He's done all of that but added in flair and attacking intent. The last two performances have been right up there for the best since lockdown. MOTM is difficult, but probably Ri...

Re: Should Moyes Get A Contract Extension?
No doubt in my mind, a 3 year extension is due. Our performances since lockdown have been some of the best in the last few years. Watford, Norwich, Man Utd in July, along with 5 good performances out of 6 games this season (the Arsenal defeat possibly our best IMO?). We're playing some really entert...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham Utd match thread.
The opposition view: Tottenham Hotspur https://www.kumb.com/story.php?id=135026 UTJ - that is both a work of art and a work of genius. I have been literally crying with laughter for the last 15 minutes. The delusional nature to our north London friends is displayed for all to enjoy. Well done, this...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
I think the real test for the newly found love of Moyes, is will it hold out when we next get beaten? He's really impressed me during his second stint, improving players and introducing a style of play that is very easy on the eye. Early indications are that he can pick a player that complements wha...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Well done David, excellent stuff again. What's really encouraging is how he seems to be improving players that we had (well, I had), totally given up on. What he's managed to achieve with Cress and Arthur is close to miraculous! Maybe he really is the Moyesiah?

Re: ⚽ Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
A fantastic performance again, very similar to the Arsenal game but we just took our chances. Not a player less than 7 out of 10, most were 8's and 9's. MOTM for me, probably Rice, but Antonio, Bowen, Oggy, Fornals, Cress and Coufal could all legitimately make a claim. Three excellent goals, but a s...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Entering my 45th year as a West Ham supporter, I've seen some dodgy managers in my time. Moyes certainly isn't one of them. I think he's a really good fit for us at this point in our history. Hopefully he'll get some slack from the doubters, as given time (and money!!!!), he may well give us a team ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Wolverhampton Wanderers: match thread
Anyone who is promoting Arthur as our left back in a back four is totally and utterly wrong, in my opinion of course. His defending is his weak area, going forward he is a proper handful. Moyes has apparently sussed this out. Probably our best performance since moving to the OS. Well done to players...

Re: Pablo Fornals
Fornals has got the makings of an excellent player. He's always looking for the quick pass, give and go, get up the pitch as quickly as possible. More importantly, he possesses a fantastic work ethic which Moyes clearly appreciates! I do agree with others that he needs to be moved to an advanced cen...

Crikey, emotions running high on here tonight.... hate to see what would have happened after a defeat :? Anyway, onto Mr Moyes and I would say that I'm in the 'he's won me over' camp. His appointment certainly didn't get the pulse racing, but once again he's delivered safety having being presented w...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Based on nothing more than his 3 minutes highlight reel, I'm liking the looking of Ajeti. He looks quick enough and scores different types of goals. He seems to be your out and out number nine, more akin to Haller than Hernandez (again, based on my 3 minutes of revision). One thing I don't quite und...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 26 days remaining
There also seems to be an accepting, apathetic feeling that Arnie just goes if a big club winks in his direction. I find that attitude depressing - and gives the board an easy excuse to sell. Imagine if they DO want to balance the books and read some of the views on here. ‘Know your place West Ham’...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 26 days remaining
What a strange place this is sometimes. We're having the best transfer window, probably of our history and people are getting themselves all upset at the imaginary sale of Arnie! I'm sure some on here are secretly hoping he is sold so they can say 'told you so'. Whilst nothing is certain in football...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th new manager
To be honest, I'm quite astounded that we've managed to secure someone of Pellegrini's pedigree. Really good work from Sully, but he owes us big time! Now he needs to release the funds MP needs to get the team functioning properly, I reckon something in the region of £70-80m would be needed to get 4...

Re: David Moyes: should he stay or should he go? [POLL]
Indeed, and if we go on a good run there would be overwhelming support for him to stay. It's the fickle nature of many football fans these days.Colours never run wrote:If we go on a bad run til the season's over, I wouldn't be at all surprised if another poll read overwhelmingly against keeping him afterall.

Re: David Moyes: should he stay or should he go? [POLL]
It's a yes from me. I think *IF* he's given the funds, we'll start to see a far more balanced side than under recent managers. He's worked wonders with Arnie, turned Cresswell into a serviceable defender in a back 3. and trusted Declan who has responded magnificently. I also like that he's willing t...
