Re: Taxi for Karren ? Is one due ?

From Saturday's column - not only does she write crap in that rag, but then Tweets about it as well. You would think that she would start to realise what she's doing assuming that she reads the responses to this! The replies are fantastic. So many people - barely any of whom appear to be West Ham f...

Might be a daft question, but surely he was insured....by somebody?
Quite. Pay the fee and claim it from the insurers. Hell, the morals they've demonstrated, they could've tried to make money out of the terrible ordeal by claiming some form of compensation as well.

Re: Anyone else envious of Wolves? (n WHU)

Not sure the first team players who put all the work in to qualify for Europe will be overly pleased not to actually then play in the games You can certainly use the Europa League to give some game time to some fringe players/ top youngsters but still need to play most of your best players If your ...

I don't think it was posted, but the Chairman's Statement at the end of last month was quite a read.

Wow. I wonder how many different claims of libel could be made against him as a result of those insane ramblings.

Does anyone remember when Di Canio and Kanouté both suffered long-term injuries and we were left with 20-year-old Jermain Defoe and Ian Pearce up front? That was fun.

Definitely 'wanton boys,' he's quoting the Earl of Gloucester in Shakespeare's King Lear.

Can you please ask her what the **** he was taking about, i’d love to know. 'As the flies are to wanton boys, so are we to the gods: they kill us for their sport' - fairly obvious. As science continues to advance, its ability to reverse the ageing process will improve until humans are effecti...

I'm a bit surprised by his English, given how long he's been with us.

Great performance yesterday. He really linked up well with Anderson, Masuaku and Haller.

He is right. What he says initially sounds like the ramblings of a madman because of a combination of accent and language, but his message is actually pretty simple.

Calm down, chaps. Let's all just have a group hug to console ourselves because we won't be seeing Iron Mike's exceptional dance moves for a few months.

Re: Antonio could be sidelined for "three to four months"

Estuary makes a valid point; given his value to the team, risking a Antonio against Newport was, with the benefit of hindsight, perhaps a bit of a mistake by Pelle. The question that I don't think has been asked yet is, who should have started instead? Although he ended up playing almost a full game...

Re: Bury FC: Dawson vs Dale (non WHU)

What happens to a football club's ground when the club gets liquidated? Would Dale and Anderson take ownership of Gigg Lane and the UOB Stadium? The fear is that it gets redeveloped into something like a car park, supermarket, flats, etc. - but with the likely financial impact on the town of Bury c...

Re: Antonio could be sidelined for "three to four months"

I feared this as soon as I saw him go down last night. As others have said, it could well by a while before he gets back to recent form once he returns. My rudimentary understanding is that every time his hamstring pings, it becomes a bit shorter and less powerful, which has a big effect on his game...

Re: Bury FC: Dawson vs Dale (non WHU)

A very sad state of affairs that should never be allowed to happen. I would be beside myself with grief if this were us. I am sure that a good number of fans would 'love' to see this happen to certain clubs, but all I would say is a) imagine it were us and b) imagine never playing Tottenham/Chelsea/...
