Re: Away Tickets Thread - The European Scramble......continues

If you just mean people sitting elsewhere than their allocated seats it's nothing of the sort, it's been a longstanding practice at away games and I would say most of us don't have a problem with it as long as fans move if someone does want to claim their allocated seat. I think persistent standing...

Fellow fans or not, yobbish behaviour.
It is yobbish behaviour. West Ham or not they show no consideration for anyone else.

 I am on 47 and have bought non changeable flights with SO .I kind of assumed we would still get around 2000 at BL but now I am sweating :cried: Did that a couple of seasons ago for Frankfurt after going to Seville and Lyon. Missed out on tickets due to the ‘extra demand’ so lost the money. L...

Re: Season Tickets 2024-25

(“1 in 4 pensioners is a millionaire if their property is taken in to account”). I don’t know anyone who will sell their house to buy a ST. It doesn’t matter how much a property is worth as people still need somewhere to live. It is totally irrelevant as to how much disposable income they have comin...

Re: Away Tickets Thread -

Agreed. Close to £100 tomorrow on ticket, fuel and food/drink, trip to Freiburg nearer £600 and lucky to have the time now I’ve retired. Suspect a lot are holding off hoping we get through and pull someone like Milan in the qf, but the time off work and expense make it very difficult when a lot of ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

From where I sat I could be at the back of the queue in about 10 minutes, then it'd take 15/20 mins to get on to the platform. Or I could walk for 15 mins to Plaistow. Hardly any difference. If they removed all the stop/go people and just allowed everyone the quickest access possible to the station...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

West Ham have 35,000 real supporters. The rest are made up of what I call casual fans. They pick and choose the games they go to. They arrive late and leave early. They will not attend a game because it's a Monday or a little nippy. They are not proper supporters. However, any club that goes from a...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

I was waiting for that one. Still all irrelevance though. Not really. I hate the stadium. Not enough to stop me going entirely but certainly more selective and faced with the soulless walk to and from Stratford Stadium and getting home at whatever time on a Monday night or watching it on the box th...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Well, it's 'your view', of course shared by others but not by (I believe) the majority. I'm not saying they all love it, but it is much less of a negative and/or priority in their support of their club. What I find difficult to understand is why some insist on bringing it up. Its pointless. We are ...

Re: To Clap The Players Or Not, That Is The Question

There was just as much abuse handed out on Saturday as well as hand clapping.

Problem was poor old Areola got some verbals as well. He was visibly upset and and asked a couple of times “what? Me?”

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Many have voted with their feet and every year I have contemplated this. Our seats will get filled if we go with many wanting the ‘Club London Experience’ with a beautifully wrapped Club London helicopter making it look all executive on the package. Where this helicopter comes into the package is s...

You have to vote with your feet. Empty seats are the only thing that gets thing their attention as continuing to go gives the impression that poor service is being condoned.

By the way, who the hell is King Promise?

Re: Throw-in - one for the referees [non WHU]

My biggest bugbear is goalkeepers taking drop kicks outside of the penalty area. I've never seen it picked up. FWIW I called it once when refereeing a Sunday League game and got pelters! They can kick it outside of the area as long as they release it from their hands inside the box. The only way to...

Can only assume they were looking for drugs. Did wonder if they were allowed to do this.
That is going too far. It’ll be rubber gloves next.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

This sums it up. On a good day there is noise at the Bowl of Disappointment, as there was on good days at the Olympics, but not traditional football atmosphere. Remember 'the Kop' as Brady called (marketed) what is now the Billy Bonds Stand and how so many people got excited about it? I wonder if o...

Look at how ****ing open at the back we were when they attacked? About 3 defenders back, when they attacked. ****ing disgraceful Looking back at the highlights it looks a bit naive how we kept going forward and getting caught on the break. A Moyes team wouldn’t get caught like that 😉 I was there at...

The funny thing is that Matt Lawton was discussing it on TalkSport earlier and said that he had contacted Redknapp to ask him about it. Redknapp replied that he didn’t recall having any conversations with Mitchell Thomas. When Lawton then told him that he had telephone evidence that conversations ha...

So who were the authorities trying to please whne there used to be a full fixture list on Christmas Day. Up until the 1950s there was a full list of fixtures on the 25th, Maybe we should cut out Boxing Day fixtures as well. And the Easter programme. Fact is compared with the millions who watch foot...
