Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

, Just woke up after a doze to see tonights results What chance Nuno Espirito Santo(sounds like a Gregorian chant!)is in charge of them then we could set another record(if we already haven't) first to be beaten by the same manager in consecutive matches , by different teams I don't think even we've...

Re: The Moaning About Christmas Thread.

I like sharing time with family and friends ... looking forward to that this year, however Xmas will be overshadowed for my side of the family - it’s my Grandad’s 100th birthday on Xmas Eve and is something that will trump Xmas this year!! Wow, that's a great achievement, good for him. While...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

That's got to have hit their already low confidence, tonight. We beat Chelsea away, we've got to have half a chance against this lot at home but obviously, mainly if Mic Ant is playing & is ok. I'm just glad it's not against one of the top 3. Now, this game is one of the games that we NEED to win. A...

Fighting with Luis Garcia who also missed the final. Am I right?
I believe you are, Vic.
Must have both been gutted. Them chances don't come along that often, if at all.

But no one points out the brutality in kosher meat. Maybe because it’s not Islam
If kosher meat is slaughtered the same way as halal meat, of course it's as bad.
However, Judaism isn't bothered about what people eat in KFC. It doesn't appear to want to impose itself on non-believers.

You can't get bacon in Specsavers either. Surely it's up to the shop owner to decide what they want to sell you?
No, in this case, it's a religion.

Was in the Co-op about 3 weeks ago, and Xmas music was on full tilt. I asked the lad behind the till if he had to suffer this for 40 days straight and he just rolled his eyes in despair.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Just posted elsewhere how that Christmas & New Year can make people feel even more sad & lonely, than they might already do. Never forget, if you do, you're really not on your own in feeling that. If someone had to hire a venue for all sad & lonely people, to get together, the Royal Albert Hall prob...

Re: The Moaning About Christmas Thread.

I read something a week or so a go that I found pretty sad around giving presents and Santa. Basically said if you buy expensive gifts you should say they are from you and not Santa as children of families that can't afford the expensive gifts can get upset and think that Santa doesn't like them as...

Re: Little things that irritate you

Also people that moan about Halal meat but ignore other meats slaughtered in similar ways that also annoys me :arry: :arry: Apparently, between 84 & 90% of halal meat in the UK, IS slaughtered the same way, as non-halal meat. i.e.the animal is stunned first & supposedly isn't conscious when killed....

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

Let's face it, if Rob was in goal, we'd have probably lost 4 or 5 nil. Our performance wasn't terrible, very much a continuation of the improved team that we saw at Chelsea. Far, far better than the previous 2 months performances. Haller is getting a lot of stick. We've got to give him more time & b...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

Despite our win, I’d say we could still just as easily be relegated as finish 6th or 7th. Not really any dreadful teams this season, but also fewer very good ones. Watford are pretty dreadful unless they get a manager that transforms them. The ones that did seem worse than us are now starting to pi...
