Re: Lukasz Fabianski signs
A big upgrade on what we've had in recent years, I definitely feel more comfortable with him between the sticks. To be super critical though, his kicking wasn't great yesterday - the amount of times he kept slicing it out of his hands and off the ground therefore giving the ball back to Everton. Put...

Re: West Ham Utd v Wolverhampton Wanderers match thread (01/09)
Unchanged from Arsenal, assuming Arnie is ready to go on Saturday. Cresswell didn't do enough to prove to me he should play ahead of Masuaku. Rice played well v Wimbledon, but I thought Sanchez was excellent v Arsenal so would be harsh dropping him. I could make a case for Yarmo in for Snodgrass, de...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend
Just out of interest what does success mean to you, what are you expecting with the history of **** investment from these owners and how much of that blame are you parking at Nobles door? That isn't my point, and I'm not parking blame at his door for our lack of "success". I'm just acknow...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend
I’m sure the people on this site know better than Allardyce, Moyes, Pellegrini, and all the other managers that have chosen Mark Noble for the past 11 years. This isn't a dig at you, but I hate this train of thought and see it a lot when people are defending Noble. Whilst you are right, most of our...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
To be honest I would probably put Zab in over Fredericks who was all over the place on Sunday. So dropping him on the basis of coming up against one of the best forward lines in the PL, in his first game? Come on now... Same goes for people calling for Balbuena, Ogbonna and/or Masuaku to be dropped...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
What amazes me most about our fans, and this isn't directed at anyone in particular (might even be slightly off topic), is how loyal they are to some players who've under performed over the past couple of seasons, yet so quick to throw others under the bus so quickly. Anyway, as for Bournemouth it's...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
I can't wait for this, my first game in a long while! I wouldn't change much, that was half of Bilic's problem and to some extent Moyes as well, always chopping and changing. We just played the UCL finalist away from home and got spanked, let's take some reality forwards. I'd probably make one chang...

Re: Michail Antonio
He's definitely the new scapegoat around here, he can't catch a break. I'll be the first to agree that technically he isn't great, a number of times in the second half he frustrated me by running into blind alleys and giving the ball away. I thought he was pretty good on the right wing in the first ...

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)
The thing I noticed from the first whistle is that despite being the first 11 that I expected to play, the midfield weren't set up how I thought. No one was really holding, hence Rice and Noble being caught too far up the pitch for the opening goal. We were almost too gung ho, like Pellegrini though...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 3 days remaining
I'm by no means an advocate of Carlos Sanchez. He was useless in a terrible Villa team and I didn't even realise he'd been sent off so early in Columbia's first game of the World Cup. However, in my opinion he's got to get through Declan Rice, Pedro Obiang and probably Mark Noble to even get in the ...

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)
This is just me being OCD, but when are they back in training? I know they were given the weekend off after returning from Austria and ahead of the Liverpool game, but I expected them to be in bright and early this morning and Ogbonna is still posting breakfast photos from Ibiza. I'll just have to t...

Cheikhou Kouyaté and Jordan Ayew having medicals ahead of prospective moves to Crystal Palace. Max Meyer deal is done, just waiting for international clearance #cpfc
Looks like Mr Kouyate is as good as gone.

Re: Who is your Number 1? [POLL]
I went against Adrian last summer and backed Joe Hart publicly and on here, which back fired... so it's hard for me to go against him again, especially given his good pre season form too. However, I like Fabianski and think if you're paying £7m for a goalkeeper then he's got to play. Oh I don't know...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 26 days remaining
Think you have forgotten Balbuena, don't think he's signed to not even make the bench Edit - and Zabaleta I agree I just know nothing of him as yet. As for Zaba, that's just football I guess. Can only have so many players on the bench and whether it be him or Fredericks starting, is the best use of...

Re: Signing of the summer (so far) [POLL]
Agree with the Manuel Pellegrini votes, as many have said it wouldn't be possible without him. However, I voted for Felipe Anderson. A proper "next level" signing and huge statement of intent getting him over the line. I was one of the hopeful but cynical ones believing he would be this ye...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 26 days remaining
In terms of what we still want and/or need, I'm really not sure. It depends on who goes out the door. Whatever your starting line up may be at this point, I look at our bench and think if Antonio goes (for example) then we'll definitely need another attacking player on loan, whilst Lanzini recovers....

Welcome Felipe Anderson
I'm really excited about this signing, the team we're building and the season ahead for the first time in ages.
A happy and united West Ham is a fun one to watch and support. Come on you Irons!

I feel happiness bubbling. 5 good signings so far with more in the pipeline!
Hopefully this continues and the good vibe keeps growing for all of us connected to the club. Let's not rest on our laurels, keep pushing!
Come on you Irons!
Ps, thank god for those Burnley 'riots'.
