Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

I knew next to nothing about him when he signed. A quick watch of his highlights on YouTube, and all I could make out was he looked slow and lazy. I don't think he has really done much different with us, it's just who he is and how he plays.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???

They are clever people. I will give the Olympic park, or whatever it's called, a few more years before judging. I still have hope it will be a full time footie stadium one day. I just can't see the athletics stuff being able to continue for a longtime. I like David Gold on Twitter, he's amusing and ...

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

Arnie can run sideways while holding off 2 players, it's a different type of skill than Carroll back to goal holding up. I agree it would be nice to see him play a bit. Not sure if he's Moyes cup of tea, think he prefers more Lennon type wingers. Strange signing considering we needed some pace.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

I wouldn't mind seeing what Arnie does in the off the striker role. Carrol and him could swap when one gets knackered defending. Arnie is the only player that can really hold the ball up and allow everyone to get up the pitch. Hernandez has been terrible at shielding the ball, he try's to do too muc...

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

Hope to see lots of good wing play, and much better organisation when without possession.

Re: [POLL] Moyes or Pardew?

Voted Pardew cause he understands how to put a fast, powerful team together. I dont know much about Moyes except his Everton side were tough to beat.

Re: Michail Antonio

I think he is a much better footballer than people give him credit for. Some of his passing is very clever. On Saturday, I think he was just embarrassed that he was coming on for our most experienced defender, to see out a game! He has been consistently better than any other foward (he hasn't been s...

Re: West Ham United v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

I thought we played the best football I have seen for a very long time (for about 15 mins, after their goal). The players showed they really have it in them, but I don't think anyone is really happy right now. In Bilics first season it would have been a comeback special. These days it's just sad to ...

Re: Burnley v West Ham Utd: match thread

Never realised Burnley are master of the dark arts, but then seeing the manager blatantly take out Lanzini and it all made sense.

Really want to beat them next time.

Re: Burnley v West Ham Utd: match thread

I am just glad we survived one of the worst ref performances I have seen. He has absolutely no idea of how to control a game, or be consistent in any matter. I doubt he even watches football let alone has ever played. The Hernandez sub was terrible. He was drawing fouls, holding up play, and we look...

Re: Burnley v West Ham Utd: match thread

Burnley defenders must have been practising how to get Carroll sent off. First, in the context of the game (no yellow for the challenge on Antonio, and no yellow for the challenges on Carroll) was so harsh. His arm did not move in the direction of the player at all. The defender more or less jumped ...
