Re: The Sunak Government 2022-
The current government can always agree to it then leave it under the carpet for the next government to deal with, :chin: The logical thing for the Tories to do is to delay / park any decision until after the election (which given that this has a way to run is probably what is going to happen anywa...

Re: In other news
I think the argument here is that although women get 'equal pay' now and therefore the pensions should be the same, is that women weren't getting equal pay for very many of the years they worked. Don't think so OFT. The woman leading the campaign was interviewed on Radio 5 Live this morning - she m...

Re: In other news
Don't know if you're wilfully missing the point ( many of the women affected weren't informed due to the coalition's rush to get this legislation through) or just having a bit of fun here. As for equality surely it would have meant blokes could also receive their State Pension at 60? Just as a BTW,...

Re: VAR 2023/24
Howard Webb's comments regarding VAR in a few recent contentious decisions (including Tom's disallowed goal and the Burnley "handball"). https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68609867 With a self satisfied smile he confirms that VAR got all of the decisions right. You know what Webb? You ar...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
I know its on the internet so this is always going to be the case, but I think we need to get past the idea that it is some kind of organised conspiracy and just accept its poor refs, and a poorly used system. I think there is some bias, like I said I dont think in a million years either of those g...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
So I got called out on here a week ago when I claimed some decisions were corrupt. Anyone want to argue now?
F*cking football has been f*cked. Cheats, liars, and worst of all Howard Webb and his cohorts. Thanks for ruining the beautiful game.
C****.

Re: Today's celebrity death is...
Really sad news. CR's first album came out when I was at school and I thought it was magnificent. Really fresh sound, shades of Roxy Music but poppier and perhaps a bit more accessible. And Come Up and See Me was an all time classic.

re The Marlow Murder Club couple of sites I "read" regarding new series and that. they usually give reviews that I "follow" and to be fair in the main they're spot on when I check the show out. it got a right panning..... so now I'm stuck betwixt and between... TOMoS and MH are ...

Nice one, Diane. Claim you want the Labour whip back whilst looking to do as much harm to the party as you can:

That's his excuse. The rule has been bent by Speakers in the past and considering it was Dianne Abbott wanting to ask a question about the racism directed against Diane Abbott - as you say she should have been given a central role in the debate and not have the ridiculous scenario of Sunak and Star...

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24
Seems to be. But in reality, there is no conspiracy against us. I certainly don't think there's a conspiracy against us. But I do think that VAR has reduced too many decisions to a lottery based on who sees what, which is diametrically opposed to what was intended. But the authorities will never ad...

Jesus.... he totally mistimed that but headed it badly on to his hand looked awful but wasn't intentional As soon as corruption is mentioned we go to desperation OK, not corrupt. Let's call it fantastic defending then ... he realised he'd mistimed his header (if he did indeed head it?) as you said,...
