Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Looks like a decent Moyes-ian type striker who'll score 8-9 goals a season and help knit the forward line together with his hard work and hold up play. :scarfer:

Excited about him the same way I was excited when we signed David Terrier and Dieter Eckstein. :scarfer:

Re: Declan Rice

I think there's an element of truth to him being better, but the critical thing is it's little or nothing to do with his environment. He would invariably come back from the off-season like he'd downloaded a patch that upped a new part of his game – he started off a static midfielder who was excelle...

I doubt he will sign a contract that gives him little to no say in player recruitment.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If Moyes wins every game left this season, which he clearly won't, and that includes winning the Uefa Cup, which we won't, i would still want this to be Moyes last season...>Thanks but thats enough, youve done great and been a real mixed bag but thats it done. I would hire Harry Potter give him a 3...

Re: VAR 2023/24

What's the point of capping it at 2 min? They'll just rush the decisions, produce a whole load of wrong ones and even more acrimony and teeth gnashing will result. Just get the best officials in from across the globe and get it right on the pitch to begin with. England, Salisbury,Pawson, Gillett, ju...

Reminds me of that episode in Seinfeld where they meet their Bizarro world counterparts. This is like reading the Bizarro version of Kumb where everyone is exceedingly rational and polite. :crylol:

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

D'ya know, I recall very well, an advertising hoarding, inside the ground at U P, which suddenly appeared out of nowhere at the time Brown became majority shareholder and self appointed Chairman of West Ham United. It read, ,' Sussex Beach Holiday Park. - I expect you remember it too. This is a fan...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Firstly, I didn't call it "exactly the same", I said finishing top 10, finishing bottom 10, finishing top 10 is exactly as we did. Which is a fact, unless you're disputing that too? I'm not sure how you can disagree with that statement? Very easily. Because they are patently not the same....

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

No, because I was trying to point out we finished in the top 10, the bottom 10, and the top 10 with a cup final over a three-year period. Exactly as we did over the 2006-2008 period after UTJ implied that on the pitch we had done a "far better job". 7th is better than 9th. 14th is better ...
