Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Nobody will get Lingard for free in the summer as he will get his current wages plus around ten million pound signing on fee spread over his contract apparently listening to talk sport that's the way free transfers work. billtho, fair point and fully understand how the economics work :newthumb: But...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

If they're asking for 15m for Lingard this month then it must be a real head-scratcher for Moyes. Get him for free in the summer, or bite the bullet and get him in for what is the most exciting 4 months we've had for decades. It would go against his history of being careful with money but he will al...

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

I dare say that 9898 has got enough satisfaction from the response he's got from his deliberately provocative Bowen post. He did his time on a smaller West Ham forum and now is trying it out here. Apologies if I am breaking site rules by posting a link to this post. It's from the other forum he post...

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?

https://mobile.twitter.com/WestHamStatto/status/1481988573159120898 This is great. It might not mean much to any other football fan, but this kind of thing, which is entirely down to Moyes' attitude and work ethic, has restored some pride in our club. We've lost a lot of respect in the wider footba...

Still think we are the best club he will play for. Too many issues within his game to progress further.
How did you even find the will to get out of bed when we were ****?

You need to get laid sharpish.

If you can't enjoy the good times then what's the point, 9898?

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Some people want the next level and want us to kick on yet think we can get Mbappe for £10  You say that but some people think the term 'next level' is cliched nonsense perpetuated by barely literate pundits that also say things like 'he's unplayable on his day', 'there was contact', and who...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Barbosa is the antithesis of what Moyes looks for in a character. I can't remember him signing many players with such ego. Was it the Inter manager who said that he turned up with a social media team and bodyguards? Imagine that scenario at Rush Green. I just can't believe it. Agent talk. I hope so ...

Re: Little things that irritate you

The BBC Sport website's Comments Section policy. They're fine to open it up to anything beige but if there's anything actually worth discussing (i've just read the DCMS cricket report) then they shut everything down. Why is that? They do it on women's football as well, they have a mad amount of arti...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

So we're just ignoring that all those strikers seem to be totally different? If you plonk a prime Chicharito into this team he would not succeed. Everyone would be pissed off. If you plonk a prime Haller into this team he would not succeed. Everyone would be pissed off. Sorry to labour the point but...

Re: ✍ Nikola Vlasic

I'm reminded of Brian Clough (even though he died when I was young..!).

'I want to win it better'.

It would be great to do something special with an honest team.

It would be a great antidote to the antics that we see (and the media don't) from the Sly 6 clubs.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

David Cabral Ekiteke En nesri Ask the clubs what they want to sell and get the deal done. I have only really seen El Nesyri and David out of that lot but I wouldn't say they are similar types of striker. El Nesyri moves defenders around and can hold the ball up and play up top on his own as well as...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

The problem is us fans have no idea what the budget is or even if there is one. The new investor is a new unknown variable that we cannot confidently predict, despite his comments pre-January. We're second-guessing things. This combined with the total plugging of all leaks form the club means that n...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I don't know if he'd fancy it, or if bigger clubs are interested (or if his current club would sell) but I think Patrick Schick would be perfect for us. His qualities seem a great fit for the PL and also the way we set up.

Liverpool and Klopp are utterly contemptible.

Arteta is just plain weird with his 'intensity'.

Re: Michail Antonio

He's not scoring as many nor assisting as many, but I still feel like he is a major factor in how many goals we score, with his presence. Agreed. Our squad is like an ecosystem whereby if you remove something that doesn't seem to make much difference, everything could fall apart. We would miss him ...

Did anyone else notice Krul when the second goal went in? He took a super quick goal kick in the hope that getting the game re-started would end any VAR checks. You have to rate that kind of misguided shithousery! He's a great value when he faces penalties as well :crylol:

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

I’m going to spoil the party. He’s really got to score more. Should have had 5 tonight and he does miss a fair few chances. If he finished a tiny bit better, he’d be on 20 goals already. He has intelligent movement in the area. So refreshing to see him make different runs in the box. I never once s...

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

The epitome of a 'David Moyes Player'. A workrate that accentuates his natural ability. Credit to the player and the manager. It really is impressive the way Moyes can get his players to want to improve. How many times was Bowen subbed off on around 75 mins last season? In the last two games, he's s...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

From BBC Sport: ‘Jarrod Bowen has been directly involved in 16 goals in all competitions this season (8 goals, 8 assists), which is the most by any English player at a Premier League club’ England call up surely imminent. Was fantastic tonight. That's superb. My initial reaction to that was 'I bet ...
