Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Most valuable asset was signed by Moyes and Newman. Paqueta will go for a whopping markup. The criticism on transfers is foolish.

That said, the summer rebuild will be substantial and clubs will be after the better players.

A ground can be sold out every week technically while not being full at the actual game.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If we were 15th in Nov, I know the guys I go to West Ham with would be VERY vocal about us being in a relegation fight. It's a silly argument: "Sociedad are 15th in La Liga with nine points from 11 matches following Sunday’s 2-1 win at home to the champions Atlético Madrid. Arrasate was dismis...

When you get meaningless punishments where is the incentive to stay within the rules?

I mean a lot of the racists have adopted that thin blue line US flag over there so it would be funny to watch the hypocrisy I guess Wouldn't it be nice if people of all stripes would just stop having a go and provoking each other all the time? Used to be national teams were a source of unification ...

Actually, most of the money seems to be getting funnelled to the players and the owners. Who would be surprised if you get a slew of bankrupt clubs after the chancers have all run away with the cash?

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Probably correct. It's odd though how football pigeon holes people. Moyes is as far away from a quick fix guy as you could get, he is a long slow build a club type imo. The only time he has not taken over a team flirting with relegation is Man Utd, so I don't think that holds water. Successful rele...

Re: Plastic fantastic

Fact is, the traditional idea of football support is dying out due to many factors - globalisation, dominance of the Premier League, etc. That said, it just means the tribalism is become more concentrated. At least old fashioned hooliganism seems to be much less prevalent.

Re: Freiburg - Leverkusen

38 games unbeaten will require some luck, but calling them the luckiest in world football? Come on. You don't go 38 unbeaten without being good enough either. Of course not, but they’ve been this run lately where they are scoring overtime goals, every ref decision. Is going their way, etc. Seems un...

Re: Other games 16th & 17th March

The shirt rule is probably the dumbest rule in the sport. Along with the handball and offside rules.

They should go back to the old offside rule for clarity and get back to some sort of definitive ruling on handball as it is too confusing.

Leverkusen are the luckiest team in world football at the moment. Wouldn’t be surprised if they ultimately collapse.
