Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I don't mind people arguing for a change of manager. There are some points that do hold some weight. The thing I find hard is the vitriol ....the hatred involved. It's so unjust. Our performance/position/success over the Moyes years deserves no such outcome. It's way over the top. I can only believe...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
if jarrod's front and centre for the cameras and moyes says there's a good chance he'll feature, bet your house on him being out. That's never what he does. He sometimes hides players who are perceived as injured.....who he intends to play. Public shows like Bowens today mean he is certain to featu...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I suspect we will part company. The natural ending of his contract adds to this feeling. The "contract on the table " sounded very wishy washy. Four years is a tremendous effort. We are better off for having David Moyes, he is better off for having West Ham. Surprising how many Everton fan...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Maybe his appointment of Steidten in July 2023 will prove to be Sullivan's greatest achievement at the club. I suspect it will be Steidten who decides West Ham's next coach. In January John, Sullivan overruled Steidten & Moyes in the purchasing of a player......both wanted him. Just a player. I...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
We should be just going out to win the game....treating it as a single entity. Thinking in those terms will actually simplify the task and give us the best opportunity. If we win the game.......we will have at some point (during the match) given ourselves a chance to level the tie.....(unless it's a...

Hats off to Alvarez who was the first to understand the seriousness of that collision....and his challenge.
Aguerd, Emerson & Soucek too.
Put your feet up George....

Unprofessional is the only word to describe recent performances.
He hasn't been the only one. But he's the biggest culprit.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Strange people saying they would have taken a 1-0 (me too)....yet writing off 2-0 as game over.
If you get a goal.....it would greatly impact both. Levels one tie and brings you right back into the other.

After 90 mins, the Leverkusen attack resorts to negotiation .
West Ham - "no deal".

Why do we now live in a world where conspiracy theories are believed and have disappeared over the horizon......before the the truth is even allowed to put it's shoes on.
What an utterly balm pot world we now live in.
Where there are hardly any objective truths anymore.
I really fear for mankind.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I've got to be honest, I'm finding it a bit embarrassing being a West Ham fan at the moment. Quick tip. When travelling home from a match ....instead of proudly reading your West Ham programme......secretly hide it inside a magazine titled "Greek topless men" You get to read the programme...

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points
Call me an old cynic......But I wonder if there was a nod and a wink over the 4 points.
Don't appeal it and we'll give you 4.....If you intend to appeal the initial deduction will be 6.
You can then appeal the 6 and we'll reduce it to 4....so don't bother appealing....

Football without that absolute moment of spontaneity and joy is not football at all. I'm glad I grew up in an era with marginally more bad refereeing decisions.......but totally outweighed by the insane moments of joy. A quick look at the linesman.....a quick look at the ref. That's all that anybody...

The site is at it's best when there is a self moderation by every individual poster. And every poster kind of takes a pride in moderating the site by playing respectfully. . And in todays world of social media.... it's still a decent and respectful place to come to. Even if you don't especially feel...

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24
Very happy with the structure of our fixtures. Home games first are a distinct disadvantage imo. Indeed, we could have drawn "supposedly" easier teams but with home games first in both the Q/F ...and S/F. That would have been very depressing for me. Second leg matches at our place have the...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Mohammed Kudus
His goal reminded me of Alan Dev v Wrexham.
Same sort of distance...and everything opened up ....a bit.
Defenders on the half turn ...like turny and twisting things, running backwards like they had been caught in an enormous breeze.
