Re: Isla Caton

Good night little poppet.

I unashamedly cried this morning.

All my thoughts are for Isla's loved ones. May they gain the strength and energy for the days and months ahead.

God bless sweetheart.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I'm not sure it is just the owners. As others have posted, this is how Moyes works. He looks to build for long term continued challenge rather than taking a one off roll of the dice. It is what he did as Everton. I don't think it's the owners at all this time. And everything else you say is bang on...

Re: Best Free Kick in PL History? Yay or Nay?

Thing with the Payet goal against Palace.........is that, the ball at no time looked like it was going in. Looks way too high all the way. I'm waving it by, it's going over......rotten effort really. Then it sort of descends quicker than a group of weightwatchers eating at the salad bar .........and...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I honestly believe that some people still don't get what David Moyes is about..... He's not about the here and now especially......or to try and grab at a short term opportunity, that may or may not pay off. He thinks long term......like, really long term. And not as a fan thinks. And if you don't u...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

https://mobile.twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1481961732021047304 This is how difficult it is for people at Bielsa's press conference to be honest. Both views taken from the same press conference ....two different interpretations of it. I listened to some of it and just got bored and gave up....so I d...

Awful news for everybody else........but I've managed to log in. I had a tremendous joke lined up for the Cambridge defeat of Newcastle. Now I feel the time to release it has gone.....and thus, it's impact would be lost. Very, very frustrating as it was absolute quality...... https://www.dokuwiki.or...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that Patrick Bamford will not be available to play for Leeds United against West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday. Speaking to the media on Friday ahead of Leeds’ trip to the London Stadium, Bielsa revealed that Bamford, 28, is still short of match fitness. "His ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Twas easy.

We didn't get out of second gear.

Coasted and managed our way through the game in a thoroughly professional manner.

For this level......the players would hardly known they've had a game.

Re: Watford away 28th Dec.

Last season we played Everton away on January 1st....it was our third game in six days. We had already played Brighton on Dec 27th.......and.....Southampton on Dec 29th. Everton only had one game in that period ...on Dec 26th.........and had six complete rest days until the West Ham game. West Ham w...

Re: Has our season been derailed?

Totally depends......it could absolutely benefit West Ham. If they "have had" Covid.....(especially if they have any symptoms) ......playing straight away is not a good experience. Many players have already spoken about it. It doesn't produce the feelings of having rested......quite the op...

Re: Has our season been derailed?

Watford v wolves off Boxing Day due to covid. Hope it’s wolves not Watford. As looking forward to game on 28/12 It's Watford that have the problems. The good news is that the Premier League are saying the Watford v West Ham game should go ahead....as the Watford players will be out of quarantine by...

Re: Has our season been derailed?

If somebody had told me we would be 5th at Christmas (beating Chelsea and Liverpool) and having played Thurs & Sunday for most of the season. And were also through to the serious end of the Europa League/Cup....and a chance of Champions League football because of it.......and had reached the Q/F...

Brighton have got three players missing tonight with Covid. Potter saying "just get on with it" I think one of the key things regarding games getting called off is when the training grounds get closed down. That seems (generally to be a common factor when the games get called off).....prob...

Re: ✍ Nikola Vlasic

He'll come good I think. He's got nice control and moves well with the ball......and turns and twists cleverly. I think the final part of his game is missing at the moment. And that's the pass or final ball or making the right decision to develop the play in a better manner for the team. :newthumb:

Re: Emmanuel Longelo

He did really well last night (as did HA on t'other side), but I think we need to be careful not to go overboard based on just one performance. I noticed one error of judgement, just after half-an-hour when he lost his man (Ademi, ghosting in at the back post) who was left with a clear header on go...

Re: Emmanuel Longelo

Of the four defenders, he was the one a knew least about. Very impressed. Unlike some, I wouldn't be rushing them/him in. But that's me. Their time will come. The Premier League is very unforgiving and a huge step. Nice and easy as she goes for them. They'll all be in and around the squad at differe...
