Re: Protests against the board being planned

I touched on this in an earlier post but we have some fairly largely followed accounts that we could leverage - aslong as they are 100% on board. That will be something for HU committee to agree on but West Ham Fan TV, for example, have nearly 20k followers on Twitter alone. A choreographed message...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

This for me, have also seen an upsurge in interest and support. The momentum thing is important. We CAN do this. Indeed we can. Build on our re-established alliances. And don’t be pulled off piste by the shenanigans we will surely encounter. Bring bigger numbers from all demographics with us and al...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

With talksport I was scheduled to be on at 3.15.They pulled it.They scheduled UTJ to do it instead.UTJ said as the protest had been arranged by Hammers United they should be speaking to us.-He would speak with us but not instead of us. Thanks to UTJ for that. -Solidarity, West Ham unitedforchange. ...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

It's all very well talking about solidarity but you had an opportunity to get your message over to a wider audience. Worse than that, someone who is stealing a living as a journalist was allowed to put his own spin on the protest. Surely HU should have been able to scare up a spokesman. Actually HU...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

They haven't been told what to say yet Marlow. :) Their silence speaks volumes and just further illustrates that as happens so often the club thought they were being clever by setting up a puppet OSB and as so often before they weren't being clever at all. Because of the OSB's nothingness, impotenc...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I'm still waiting to hear the SLO or Chair of the OSB say something. Given it's their job like... Ouch Doc That truth has got to smart.. But a very prudent point. The media coverage, the rumbling from GSB.. the massive social media activity (both positive and otherwise) yet from our only officially...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I’ve been about a bit when it comes to West Ham protests. Todays was the biggest and most significant for nearly 30 years. It was amateurish, largely unknown about, arranged in the last fortnight and was tucked away from the stadium. And that’s what made it so significant and threatening to GBS - t...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I don't think I know anyone who is a member. I'm not. Anyone else excited about tomorrow? Ron Looking at twitter and social media I’d say lots are excited about tomorrow. And just to clear something up you don’t have to be a member of HU or any other group to attend. It’s free, and will be a chance...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

i don't think anyone can give an accurate estimate, i bet plenty like me who have never had anything to do with HU and won't be known to any membership register will be there purely to repesent themselves. That’s brilliant and from the bottom of my heart I thank you (both for attending and also for...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Will the ‘new breed’ be allowed to stand near the older lot or will they be busy making tea for their superiors? The protest is open to ALL Hammers. And as Hammers we will stand together. HU has no pecking order. The commitee is made up of volunteers from the four corners of the realm. Some of our ...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Intrigued at how some think the numbers wI'll be so low. Would love to know how they to these figures.-and what is their motivation for trying to derail the protest? I have no idea how many will be there but we are being swamped with messages of support.I cannot see there being less than 1000.hopef...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

There isn't the backing from this. It'll just be another march, about 12 people. Better the devil you know. Baby Sullivan is obviously being groomed to take over, they aren't leaving anytime soon CBOH It’s late and the end of a very, very long day at work. Firstly it’s not a march. It’s a peaceful ...

Re: The Fans are part of the problem

I know money is important, but careful planning will get you higher than just spending like a drunk sailor. Everton have spent half a billion and still have not reached the heights they did under Moyes, or their first season under Martinez. If we can build a squad on a reasonable budget and save ou...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

speaking personally I’m definitely no fan of the owners. But just to make a point something they did do well (if long overdue) was the naming of the Billy Bonds Stand. By far and away the best thing that’s happened since the move to the OS.. at least in my humble opinion... I also applaud the Armist...

Re: Anti board chants for Bournemouth game

Good post NBB All of them.. But joking aside.. Great win against an out of form and decimated Bournemouth side. You can, however, only beat what’s in front of you and we win and win well. Fair play to Moyes and the players. However in the grand scheme of things this changes nothing. Despite posts to...

Re: Hammers United launch campaign to force dialogue with the Club

Good Morning Fellow Hammers, On what is the last day of yet another year of disappointment for our fanbase. I sit here today with mixed emotions as I look back on the year. I am immensely proud of the work my committee and I have put in since the inception of Hammers United in February this year, an...

Re: Hammers United launch campaign to force dialogue with the Club

Relegations come and go.. most have us have seen a few.. players come and go as do managers and owners. The saddest thing is when fans, loyal fans who’ve spent many thousands or more of hard earned cash for no reward other than seeing the team play, are quitting. This is why we have to take a stand ...
