Re: Coronavirus
Well done to all the bells visiting Dorset from afar the past few weeks, we now have the highest possible rating of new cases possible after being the 2nd lowest in the country. IF anyone does feel the need to travel down here to get a tan that they could do at home, but with the added attraction of...

Re: Little things that irritate you
I already consider TV ads to be about as despicable an endeavour as humans can involve themselves in, and overall there are still plenty worse than the one I'm mentioning here, but anyway. The current Calgon one, where the guy fixing the washing machine scoops out a handful of grey crud from the def...

Being a bit tipsy, bemoaning the crap on telly, then realising how easy it is to put on my Beavis And Butthead box-set.
The 'Mr Manners' episode alone is perfection alone.

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10
Bit late but a couple of places from my festive stay back in London. The White Horse, Beckenham. Big Spoonsy-type place on the high street, only went there to watch the Spurs-Chelsea game with my benighted Spurs-supporting little brother. Lots of screens for the football, usual generic beers. No pro...

As if to crown a smashing day - the guy who played one of the best characters in what was the greatest TV show of all time has just posted this - and at my behest.

Re: Pablo Fornals
Pleased for him today, I hope it'll help him push on. I've always thought he was a good player 'waiting to happen' - and indeed we are still waiting - but as someone above said, it may take the whole season for him to bed in properly. It might seem (and indeed is) a fair amount of money for 'one for...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
Well done to the gaffer today - I'll admit to some reservations when I saw the starting 11 today (albeit whilst understanding why he did it) - but it took some stones to drop a 45 million quid striker (regardless of why) and re-shuffle like he did. One of the plus-points of his reign so far has been...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I'm increasingly thinking Fab's brilliant form last year papered over a lot of cracks - not just the amount of saves but from the confidence that he engendered the rest of the team with defensively. No idea where we go from here - I've got no confidence in Pellers anymore, but the perpetual elephant...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
The stat about us covering the least yardage in the Prem this season is even more disturbing when you consider how many yards the subs have to cover just to get from the bench to the pitch.

Just put this on the bird thread but hope it's ok to expose to a wider audience here as well?... this was earlier today about 50 yards from my front door.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Last week I had some reports off a Twitter bird-watching site that there was an osprey fishing a few hundred yards from where I live (specifically a place called Holes Bay, tucked away inside Poole Harbour in Dorset). I won't bore the non-interested with too many details but basically the magnificen...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Popped down to my local nature reserve at Ham Common here in Dorset at 7am this morning, and was privileged enough to see 2 of our local osprey chicks heading off on migration to Africa. I couldn't get any decent pictures, but it was a genuine spine-tingle to see these magnificent birds of prey head...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Norwich City: Match Thread
Too much fixation here on Snoddy since Antonio's injury snafu. He isn't (or certainly shouldn't) come in for him - Yarmalenko and Foranls are where the dosh has been spent to fill these spaces anyway - stick Anderson and Lanzini in too and there's the attacking midfield pool. Don't get me wrong re A...

New Ride album 'This Is Not A Safe Place'.
Magical - combined with 2017's 'Weather Diaries' and it's as stunning a comeback from a band as I've ever heard. 50 year old shoegazers showing the kids how to do it.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Massacre Thread (10/8)
Seen a few 5-0 drubbings in my 40 odd years of watching West Ham but that was an odd one yesterday. Very decent 1st half, especially compared to the way we've approached Citeh games the past few years - that was the least intimidated I've seen us since Kiki Musampa was trotting around for them. 2nd ...

Thanks so much for all the messages guys, it's really meant a lot to me. I've not really had good mental health since childhood & every now & again, I go through a bad patch . Easier said than done buddy (I know only too well about this!), but remember if you can acknowledge that, this is w...
