Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend
It’s interesring that this thread is primarily negative. No mentions of the times when Noble has spun from a tackle and pinged a forty yarder with the outside of his foot, or when he was credited with firing up the dressing room to give us an improbable win, or indeed when he’s looked like the only...

Re: KUMB Player of the Decade [POLL]
Or they misunderstood the poll like a fair few posters on here. Lets be honest, if you think Noble has been the best player to play for us this decade you need your eyes examining :thdn: Yup, just the sort of reasoned response that seems to feature all too frequently on these forums. 'Best' can mea...

Re: KUMB Player of the Decade [POLL]
Interesting that only on the KUMB forum was support for Noble outvoted by that for Payet; seems to bear out my feeling there's long been an undercurrent of anti-Noble sentiment amongst a lot of posters to the forum. His clear wins on the other two suggests the wider fanbase takes a different view.

Re: David Moyes: should he stay or should he go? [POLL]
That is absolutely right mate. It is not easy to write this as we think we are better than we are and we think we are still a catch for players, but the reality is we are not and that is not as other see us. We are no more than a bottom half team and we are not improving on that any time soon and n...

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]
At about this time in Uncle Avram's reign when the relegation writing was on the wall in neon letters ten feet high I wrote a piece for OLAS advocating the immediate appointment of Sam Allardyce, a cri de coeur that even I regarded as heretical in terms of everything I believed about The West Ham Wa...

Er, as recently as the Southampton game when his right-footed chip to the far post gave Fornals an easy cushioning header to tee up Haller's goal.

Re: KUMB Player of the Decade [POLL]
As it stands, a player who effectively went on strike and refused to play for West Ham during the decade is winning a vote for player of that decade. Not for me. Spot-on. For all of his brilliance, skill, magic etc etc, Payet was all about himself not the team. Ditto, to a lesser extent, Di Canio w...

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham United: Match thread (26/12)
To the tune of the most penalties for any PL team over the past five years, an average of at least ten per season; given that we seem to get an average of about three or four, tops, we start the game at a disadvantage.

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham United: Match thread (14/12)
Good spot by Eni Aluko yesterday pointing out how the four teams with the lowest possession stats - Newcastle, Burnley, Sheff Utd and Palace - are all punching above their weight. Proof in the pudding for us today, two up front, going more direct, getting crosses in.

Re: Board vs Pellegrini [POLL]
I’d say upwards of 90% of the fan base are anti board, so don’t come on here giving it that old crap Yup, and it's that kind of Momentum-style intolerance of even the most mildly expressed of questioning views that's helped Johnson get a further five years. For a 'moderator' your replies to me fall...

Re: Board vs Pellegrini [POLL]
To describe the result as 'predictable' isn't necessarily to deride it; each to their own, after all, but given KUMB's openly anti-Board stance any other outcome would have better merited the description 'astonishing'.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)
Mike Dean is the ref. I Know you lot don't, but I like him You've obviously forgotten one of his many howlers, the ludicrous sending-off of Feghouli early on against Man United a couple of years back. Overturned on appeal. Ruined the game. One thing's for certain with him being the ref and that's h...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)
The west ham charity bus is getting ready, if ever a team need a result or a striker needs a goal we always step up to lend a helping hand Nail on the head. Never has there been a better time to play Arsenal in the Premier League era than now. With our historical record of never kicking another tea...

Re: Who Next? The odds
I’d take Dyche in. Heartbeat, he has more character, fight and minerals than everyone in our organization combined. As others have said he’s a bit more progressive Allardyce, but his teams are absolutely absolutely no less entertaining than Rafa’s or Moyes or even Danny Cowley’s. The players wouldn...

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham United: Match thread (09/11)
I think we will fine. We just need three things: 1. New owners 2. New manager 3. Half a new first team. Easy. I've said it so many times I'm getting sick of hearing it; NOTHING ever changes at this club regardless of who the owners are, who the manager is or who steps on to the field in claret and ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread
47 penalties since the start of the 2013/14 season? That's just ridiculous. We've probably had 12/15 over the same period. I'm not saying it wasn't a genuine penalty but if we'd had that kind of good fortune over the past five and a bit seasons (where so many penalty awards depend on the referee's j...
