Because it was supposedly the contact Soucek's arm made, that disallowed the goal.

It all started to fall apart, when they introduced the VIP seatings.
Go back a hundred years, and ask anyone attending a game if they know what a VIP seat is

Supposedly a game for the working man...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Villa currently have a far deeper squad in terms of quality. They're also spending much more in terms of wages. Bit telling, that some on here saw Ings as an option for us in the second half. A player that was surplus of requirements at Villa Park. We could have brought on both Kalvin or James, cha...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If we could defend properly we’d be 4th. Lots of criticism has been thrown at Moyes, mainly around possession, setting us up defensively, not giving it a go etc etc but his biggest failing is our defence and has been since he came back. IMO anyway. If we would have scored as many as the team above ...

Re: Ben White and England [non WHU]

That short video is another reason why I think Southgate has been a fantastic head of the National team. Does anyone here know why White has asked to be left out? And why would you want to force a player onto the pitch? Would he play well enough, would he cause friction within the team? This ...

I've asked Chat GPT-4 what happens to teams after they change managers.
It says its a coin toss.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

There is an inherent logical weakness in making plans for the future based on the past. Even so, we can't help but use what we know to predict whats to come. To me, we've reached the next level with Moyes, objectively, results based. As many threads show, spending on the playing, non-playing staff a...

not nearly as annoying when managers refer to players with "Coley" or "Lamps" or the dreaded "Trent" Yes! Without a doubt the single most annyoing aspect of every interview done with a manager, teammate or former. I'm overchuffed Moyes is better than them https://giphy...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We play cautious football, a dedicated holding player and still cannot keep clean sheets. It is embarrassing at this stage. So many of our issues start from the back. Well, last season, at this point we did conceed ten goals less. We were also hovering below/above relegation. We've almost scored tw...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Fair point about Moyesball, but how much rotation have those other sides planned and how much has been down to them having lots of injuries? Some of which are surely to do with their high intensity approach to games (and, presumably, training). Will be interesting to see how we do down the home str...
