Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

I'd like to think that Sunday was so bad because players were distracted. But I think they are shot. Fulham did so much more running than our lot. I fear Leverkusen will take us apart.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

They were very average. God knows how they're top of the Bundesliga. We defended superbly. Shame about some indulgence:missteps from Antonio and Lucas but we could do them at home

So definitely no Jarrod and no Phillips either. And, as we knew, no Alvarez.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I said he's defensive and he is, we just aren't very good at it. 0-6 at home to Le'Arse 5-0 away to Fulham 5-1 away to Liverpool 4-1 away to Villa Winning 3-1 away to Newcastle he decided to shut up shop and we lose 4-3 .. The proof is in the eating.. That's where the frustration kicks in because w...

I liked his point about players not celebrating a victory at their place because it shouldn't be special. Excellent.

I have us at 9th with that - but if we beat Chelsea it's 8th.

Re: West Ham Utd v Tottenham: match thread

thought that JWP was a steady influence and whether or not that "goal" might have come back, that ping to Antonio was brilliant.... him and Tommy together in a duo that hardly NEVER works, was not bad tonight. yes, of course we missed Alvarez but considering that we've "all" pre...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

A Moyes masterclass today. I was screaming for subs but he did it with a reshuffle. We should have won but that was down to player errors. The team responded excellently to the changing patterns of play. Clearly we need a better squad but today was great match play

Sadly we'll probably concede about 2 more.

In the waiting room. It says there are 92,000 users ahead of me. Not sure that can be entirely accurate, but it's not looking good.

I see Liverpool got less than 5% of the capacity at Atalanta - so perhaps this is just standard behaviour by home teams

Re: Away Tickets Thread - The European Scramble......continues

I can't think of a single reason why WHU would turn down having another 1,000+ Hammers there - I know they do some stupid things sometimes but why piss people off?

Re: Where will we finish?

I am grateful we are still in the mix for a european place and the Europa. So many times in the past we would go into March with us either facing the drop or mid-table mediocrity. I am more optimistic than I was a few weeks ago, but I still fear that we don't have the squad to cope with any absences...

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points

This is going to be the VAR of relegation battles. First it was not being able to celebrate goals properly. Now it'll be not being able to celebrate staying up. As unfair as it would seem to teams who get relegated, wouldn't it be better if all points penalties applied to the season following being...

Can't see this keeping Luton up - they have a hellish run in and have run out of players and energy - so quite a cute decision from the PL

Re: 🚗 🚌 🚅 ✈ The Away Game & Match Day Logistics Thread

Quarters and Semis booked. Flying to Dussledorf for the Leverkusen game and staying two nights there and Bologna for the semis. Direct train to either Milan or Rome, paid under £100 for flights so worth the risk. Just done the same - thanks for the tip. We must be the most optimistic people on the ...
