Re: The kids are all right

Maybe it's easier blooding a younger player like Bradley when he's surrounded by some exceptional players. Alison in goal, VVD, Konate....the midfield.....Salah, Nunez, Diaz and so on...

Some of the above has to surely be considered.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Just looking at the defence, the following could work: Outs: Johnson - Free Cresswell - Free Ogbonna - Free Kehrer - £10m Aguerd - £25-30m In: Braithwaite - some of the fee offset from Aguerd Sale Tosin - Free KWP or AWB - both I beleive have 12 months left in the summer. Should be reasonably priced...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Scrutinising DMs every move is taking it to levels of despair. Every manager makes some right calls and wrong ones and it just seems people just wait for something to go at. The fact is none of us know the real reasons as to why those moves were made. I'm guessing it's a combination of protecting pl...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Mohammed Kudus

Gotta be honest was a little concerned with him, most of first half, didn't seem to be ..on it,was ok but not the player we know, But came alive last 30...strangely enough as Paqueta went off...and world class when Ben J came on last 15 or so for Micky, and went more central,as Ben went on the left. ...

Second half was certainly entertaining.

Fofana looks a decent player for them. Strong and quick - what a hit

Re: SC Freiburg -v- West Ham - EL16 match thread - 07.03.24

4 games in 11 days, all of the greatest importance. Fab won't let us down, Zouma can stay at home and prepare for Burnley. Johnson deserves a start, resting Coufal. Paqueta on the bench, only to be used if we need him or he needs 20 minutes. We have a weak squad, but we must preserve them until the...

Re: ✍ Welcome James Ward-Prowse

JWP has been a great addition to the squad. Always gives 100% and works his socks off. Had plenty of goals/assists and has superb energy levels.

I must be watching a different game to some!

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Next season worries me. We have had by far the least amount of injuries in the division and that cant continue indefinately. We need to replace Fournals,Benrama,Antonio,Ings,Ogbona,Cresswell. Also maybe Ben Johnson. Zouma and Coufal only going to decline. We have made I think about 35 million net t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Think the good moments outweigh the bad. Yes the football isn't great but can also not be that bad at times. The boss is always under it and will never have the full backing of all fans. Doing a great job under Sullivan and not sure how many would stick it out for so long. Squad is thin in terms of ...

Re: Everton vs West Ham United Match Thread

7 goals scored in a week, 6 points gained and sitting 7th in the table all before and important cup fixture on Thursday. It's never always going to be fluid and we have rode our luck at times according to comments. I've not seen the game so going by the vast majority commentating throughout this thr...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

David Moyes has to take a lot of credit and Paquetta is gangster on a football pitch. Play him anywhere and he influences the game. Even down the middle when DM switched him vs Man U opened up the game for us. Maybe DM deserves a bit of credit for aome of these positional changes. Maybe not so for p...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I don't think that would matter at all. Take Paqueta out the team next game and we'll struggle to score or get points, as proven the 8 games Lucas has missed. The entire team could barely pass and move in triangles, break, even make simple short passes to each other. Could not even create many clea...

A special mention must go to Simon Hooper, a bald ref. See, maybe you lot might now now agree with what I have been saying for quite some time now, bald refs are the best. Please can we have another one for the Everton match Thought the ref was very good. Let the game flow and wasn't giving soft fr...
