Re: Out of Contract Players June 30 2024

Worrying thing for me is that, despite their age, Ogbonna and Zouma are still our best CD partnership. I would be inclined to make efforts to keep Johnson. Versatile, and good enough, to be a decent squad player although not regular first team material imo. He also ticks the home grown box which is...

Re: Out of Contract Players June 30 2024

Vladimir COUFAL - Club option for one more year Ben JOHNSON Michail ANTONIO - Option for a further year Divin MUBAMA - Option for a further year Aaron CRESSWELL Angelo OGBONNA Joseph ANANG I would release Cresswell, Johnson and Ogbonna. The senior two shouldve been gone sooner. But that's the way we...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

It feels like under DM we only ever have 14 players he chooses to trust. This has to change as we cannot be in this position. The lack of rotation and viable options has once again left us short.

It's a shame the season will possibly fizzle out.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Looking at that bench incensed me. How we can be expected to compete at this level of football without the basic tools to change a game is beyond me. Sullivan’s ownership in a nutshell. Thought we played as well as we could have done given the circumstances, proud to be a West Ham fan. How far we’v...

Looks like it. Would have played him over Cresswell as he also offers us an option attacking set plays. Strange choice.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

**** how good they are. All about focusing on what we need to do and go about a business in the right way. On our day we can mix it with anyone and adapt where required. All very well giving them some respect. But we have reached 3 European QFs on the bounce. The respect needs to be mutual. Need to ...

I would go with Aguerd and push Emerson to LWB

Re: Where will we finish?

Feel like it's the Newcastle result that's going to come back and haunt us. We should've had 3 more points and them 3 less.

Would've opened up a nice gap between us and the rest.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Formation wise this is a tough one to call. If Moyes does revert to a 5 at the back I'm expecting him to get pelters for being seen as negative. But in all honesty it's important we have something to play for in the second leg. If are to go more defensive, I would like to see the following: --------...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

I think a RB isn't needed this summer CB Lb Lw St If we get those in, using downes as CM cover and Johnson as RB cover that's fine for the window If paquata goes then need to go for Gibbs white Next summer right back and midfield for me Slow steady signings 4 in will be enough I would like use to t...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

I think Ait-Nouri better suited as LWB but might be mistaken. If Wolves need money might be worth testing there resolve.

Tosin on a Free plus AWB would further strengthen the defence.

Do we give Mic another year with a bit part role? Go for a LWF instead....

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

Apologies if this has been mentioned but the conditions today are probably the reason why Wolves looked so good first half and us in the second.

The wind certainly played its part according to commentators.

Well done Irons, excellent result.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

I would target the likes of Tosin on a Free and AWB who has 1 year left. Man U surely wouldn't want him leaving for nothing and I'm sure a deal could be done. Both players have good Premier league experience, inject some much needed pace and would improve the team with minimal spend. Have to target ...

Re: West Ham in the Community - Ramadan

Mentioned a few times it can't be easy for those players observing Ramadan and playing. Must take some effort playing at any level running on complete empty. Its a long 30 days and there are other factors also, such as a change in sleep patterns. Fair play to the club for doing this. They done somet...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

I've seen Sterling operate more on the left wing than right.

I'm surprised some think he prefers the right, what's this based on?

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Hjoberg would provide cover for the DM position. Or the more expensive option would be Kalvin Phillips. Hjoberg looks like he has atleast 2 good seasons left in him. Tosin on a Free and AWB would be good additions. The squad is lacking any depth. We should have money to spend. A number of players wi...

And we play the role of Mr Nice guys. Kick it out at every opportunity a man goes down for treatment whilst they have a dirty side to them. Wonder if they would do the same for us?

Got punished in the end. Maybe we need bit more of a mean streak

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

The defensive frailties need addressing. Leaking far too many goals. AWB at right back would provide pace and is excellent defensively in one on one situations. Should be available at a decent price with one year left. Tosin on a free. Good premier league experience. Maguire or Braithwaite in additi...
