Thing is, that wasn't even the best free kick that Payet scored for us.
Nah the Palace one for me. He was so close to goal to get it up and down and that pace. 6 men in the wall. Magic.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Attila Szalai starts for Fenerbahce in 10 mins so I'd guess we have made to real approach for him as of yet.

Maybe Moyes is streaming the game though

That is a shame for him as they’ve already qualified so essentially don’t even want to bother looking at him.

Good for us though, hopefully Southgate does the same favour with Bowen
No England game in Jan/Feb.
Only player we will loose in Antonio I think.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I remain convinced Schick would never work here. I've got nothing to go on, I'm also sure he'd be a success in a dominant side, I just don't fancy it working here. Yes, we would need to up our possession stats and maintain more controlled possession further up the pitch probably. But it's the only ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Could you imagine? I'd love it if we had a duality to our transfers – what we need as an absolute necessity now (CB/CF) + what can we implement now that prevents us being so knee-jerk down the line. Nothing to suggest a team in the knockouts of Europa + challenging for top 4 couldn't put £30m towar...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

There was some talk of this with us previously. Something along the lines of: Lingard goes on loan for fee for six months Lingard signs new Man Utd contract and collects loyalty bonus Man Utd get bigger fee for him as he is under contract and not leaving on a free Apparently there was talk of this ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Does he need to replicate it? Antonio is still here so we aren't losing anything we don't already have, but might get something we don't have. Swiss Army Knife approach. A target man might be fairly handy at times given Antonio's morphing into a backyard trampoline whenever the ball goes long to hi...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

If we only bring 2 players in then they must be a CB and CF. left back still required urgently but two quality players in and maybe moyes will wait until the summer. caleta carr on loan with an option as the LCB if we want another CB then nat philips for 10m, should be fit by now from his damaged c...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I am assuming Metal’s and S-H’s comments about playmakers not being a priority were a come-on, so who are our in form playmakers ? I would normally say Fornals, but for whatever reason that side of his game seems to have fallen by the wayside in recent weeks. You can't go signing new players just b...

Last Sunday was all about the terrible display of Diop

Central midfield is not a position we need to strengthen in
I'm wasn't all about Diop. We got overrun in CM too.
Just because we have bigger problems doesn't mean CM isn't one also.

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

My worry is Ronaldo's movement, if he gets any service I fully expect our defence to present him with a couple of chances. (A side note, Ronaldo is no where near as slow as people make out. He's just a lot slower than he was in his prime which was nigh on an Olympic sprinter. None of our likely sta...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Established West Ham players Bowen and Antonio both didn't make a squad. Hlozek is 19, give him a chance. Do you think they would make the Czech squads? He isn't just a youth player we can test out, we have to buy him. Half this board were going nuts about Sima last transfer window, he can't even g...

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

It might be useful for us to go 3-4-3, even in Zouma's continued absence, with pacy/energetic wide players in the 4 and Lanzini ahead of them, but withdrawn behind Antonio and Bowen Fredericks vs Shaw (for up and down that wing for 90 minutes) Fornals vs Wan-Bissaka (keeping their player mindful of...

not the game for lanzini as too lightweight.

COYI
He isn't too lightweight to play against Man utd.
He just can't play as a deep lying CM in games we're we conceed a majority of possession.

As a 10 he can play against anyone. Particularly with Rice and Soucek behind him.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Very few players who do not play in the front 4 ever cost anything like £40m, and those who do tend to need Manchester United (and Arsenal recently) losing their sanity to attract that fee. Duffy, Taylor, Tarkowski, Saiss - all sub £20m. McNeil, Toney and McGinn there or thereabouts. Only player in...

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

Very good chance Moyes goes with Cress at centre back and Coufal/Masuaku as wing backs in this one (I'm not even getting in to the 3 or 5 at the back debate). Can we at least all agree to stay calm in the hour between teams coming out and the game kicking off and just see how it goes? If we are dro...
