Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

We have a lease that confers our rights until 2112 that a new owner would have to accept - we can prevent a sale if a new owner wanted to unilaterally change the terms of our lease. A new owner taking over from E20 would not own the land that the stadium sits on - that is owned by LLDC. Any new own...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)

Just watched the game again in a more sober state, and yes we were pretty awful, however City are very good. They have done the same to a lot of teams with better players than ours. We defended far better than a lot of posters are giving us credit for sure it was backs to the wall but they worked bl...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Goal difference could be important, losing 2-0 playing to lose or losing 5-0 playing to win? .... end of the day City are so much better than us just losing 2-0 is probably the best we could hope for. City put 6 past Villa and 8 past Watford, so only conceding 2 is not that bad It's feckin' terrible...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Given the size of the footprint, how many seats could conceivably be erected if you simply removed the current lower tiers entirely, and replaced them with a structure designed to pack in as many as possible around the pitch? This would obviously necessitate the closure of the upper tiers. And forg...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

It's not VAR - VAR just shows images to the morons - the kick to the b*llocks, 100% the same as Son VAR showed the evidence but the morons gave two different decisions ... as for the offside, he was offside under the rules no argument ... as for the push WTF blatant cheating by somebody VAR showed t...

AS pointed out before it's about momentum Sheffield A L Everton H D Leicester A L West Brom H L (cup) Liverpool H L Brighton H D That's four home games in the last six with no wins and just 2 draws to show for it. So zero momentum going into the next six Man City A L Liverpool A L Southampton H W Ar...

No I’m not easily offended at all, they are both offensive words whoever is using them though, Jewish or not, black or white! Words are not offensive it's the way they are used ... I can call you a ' b*stard ' or a ' b*stard ' and say it in such a way as to be offensive or harmless ... same goes fo...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

The athletics will be moved on. It is simply too expensive. That will be the moment when we'll be sold. The athletics was the reason we have such a useless stadium but frankly it no longer matters, using the stadium for athletics or anything else in the future won't change the design. Frankly nobod...

Re: Definition of "Spurs" changed...

The Oxford dictionary also includes the N word and lots of other offensive words when used in that way ... but the OED is an information source it makes no judgement ... the word we can't use that starts with Y and ends ids is used by Spurs fans ... that's just a fact that the OED now reflects. Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

The two main reasons the stadium loses money are: 1) moving the seats for events 2) our peppercorn rent. We pay £2.5m pa and it costs much, much more than that to put on our games. How does that help? If we want to hold events we will still have to pay to move the seats, not only will we not receiv...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

Full ownership should surely see a decent uptick in potential commercial income. If her Ladyship is as good as is claimed at increasing our turnover, she'd be white hot for West Ham to have ownership of all the commercial potential. Aren't we basically a caged bird at the moment due to the fact the...

You do know that trains do depart and arrive with things other than passengers right ?

Go back on the net and include freight and then come back and we'll have a chat. :D
Comparing calling off games in the EPL and NFL for fans safety, with the rail-freight in the USA - are you being funny?

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: MATCH POSTPONED (09/02)

You're not seriously comparing the the tiny UK rail and flight network to that of the U.S ?? Month versus year ... the USA has roughly 12 times the volume of the UK in flights but nowhere near that in rail, in fact the UK rail network carries far more passengers per year than the whole of the USA ....

The only thing weird is your lame and weak excuses pal. Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: MATCH POSTPONED (09/02)

Since 1933 the only cancelled NFL games have beeen due to labour disputes. 83 years!! What does that say about us as a country? That we play on grass not plastic? ... the US cancels more trains and flights every month than the UK does in a year ... what does that say about the USA? well precisely n...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Well that's fixed it .... Two new lower tier stands in the stadium bowl will bring some fans closer to the action by as much as four metres - so if you were pretty close you will be a bit closer, but for those everywhere else it will still need binoculars. Around 300 of the 3,600 moved seats will no...
