Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

I was very disappointed to see so many ‘fans’ just up and leave as soon as the Leverkusen goal went in. If we had seen a performance like that at The Boleyn back in the 70s or 80s the whole stadium, to a man, or woman, would have stayed to express their appreciation at the final whistle. Chill out....

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

It seems like big crowds there for this, with the atmosphere building early (not suggesting smashing up buses a la Liverpool) just wondered if this is something that we should do to get the players and fans adrenaline going, atmosphere early etc. Like the last game at UP. Can't happen in the new ga...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I've never seen a football match where you win or draw from your own 16 yard box. In this day and age of football, you're bound to lose. And we deserved to lose because we didn't put anything into the game to even come close to winning. Or do you win football matches by losing? You're forgetting th...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

My issue with last night (and so many games with Moyes) isn't that we lost, it isn't even that we tried largely to contain and frustrate them. My issue is that we didn't lay a glove on them and TBH I don't think Moyes even planned or tried to. We did though. Kudos should have scored. Antonio could'...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Just got back. Another amazing trip. West Ham everywhere all day in Cologne. Absolute nightmare getting the train over to the ground; so much for German efficiency. How did we sound on the tele? Seemed very noisy in there. We were ten minutes away from one from one of the most memorable performances...

That's true, but none of the fixtures have been confirmed yet. They had previous said supporters would be given six weeks notice

I'm bricking it now after watching some YouTube bits. Grimaldi and Wirtz look pure class. Tah looks like Super Zouma. And Boniface is coming back to fitness.

Re: Away Tickets Thread - Another year nearly complete

For Chelsea, am I right in thinking it could be one of three slots on the Bank Holiday Monday? Last year they did 3pm, 5pm and 8pm. Unless we beat Leverkusen, I imagine, then we'd play the Sunday? Four weeks until the match and still no idea when it'll be played
