Re: Athletics to pull out of OS?
There needs to be a grown up conversation about this, as the situation is completely untenable in any term. The amount it's losing is astronomical, which will only grow year on year! The only solution is Athletics moves to Birmingham, with the stadium completely redeveloped - whether that's as a mul...

Re: Gareth Southgate.
Southgate for me is the only man for the job right now. The players are playing for him, has helped shape arguably the most likable England team in my lifetime. We are getting closer. I genuinely believe that we will win the Euros in 24 and be one of the heavy favourites for USA 26. We were a penalt...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
Wrong on every count. You can always vote for someone who will change it. In fact, we had a referendum about it in 2011 to see if the public wanted to change it. The EU - nah, they don't do things like that. That's a bit Meghan, isn't it? How anyone can throw stones at the EU when we have the House...

I also do not understand why the club treats us like **** according to the ballot process; does it take a lot of effort to inform us after ballots whether we won it or not? If they can send me lot of spam about Christmas jumpers why they can not send me an email titled "Sorry, you are unlucky ...

Re: Next Labour Leader
Or have Labour simply gone back to one of Corbyn's ideas , you know the ones that Starmer has been so busy trashing since becoming leader, and decided it actually is a better one than anything he ( Starmer) could come up with! Well Corbyn's was to abolish them altogether. Labour is to cut the chari...

Re: Declan Rice
Dec is a world class midfielder, still developing too, his ability deserves to be playing and winning titles, Champions Leagues etc! That is not happening in the next 10 years at West Ham let's be honest. Even if we do somehow fluke a Champions League qualification, we aren't coming close to winning...

It appears that to be classed as a charity all they have to do is let a few students in at at reduced rate: https://theconversation.com/the-public-cost-of-private-schools-rising-fees-and-luxury-facilities-raise-questions-about-charitable-status-182060 The Tories will untie any knots by pointing out...

Re: Next Labour Leader
Private Schools are clearly not charities and should not be treated like one. Labour are bang on the money with this one, which will have public support and tie the Tories in knots.
Labour seem to have got a lot smarter recently and the Tories are falling on their traps time and time again.

Pretty obvious that it would. Brexit leads to higher import costs, which are then passed onto consumers.DaveWHU1964 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 7:08 am Brexit making the cost of living crisis worse …

I know we probably shouldn't be thinking about it yet but I wonder how many points would be needed for the Europa Conference final if we get there. I believe that the allocation is 4500. Say 4000 after the club have taken some (more than usual) for corporates etc. We haven't had an allocation of mo...

I reckon I have about 25% in terms of Equity as a buffer for when house prices fall before I fall into negative equity. Fixed for another 2.5 years, hopefully should just about be ok. Not planning on moving anytime over the next 10-20 years!

Min expectation should be reaching the final of this now. For those banging on about playing 'good football' that good football has seen us win nothing since the 80's!
