Should’ve been a red as well.
His lull has become our lull.
Don’t end it this way baby, I need something to hold onto.

I think he means ‘if’ both Bowen and Paq out on Thursday we’ll need Antonio to play another 90 mins.

I like the look of today’s team. More positive than this morning. Bring it on I say. COYI

Harrison Burrows of Peterborough. Aged 22, already captain of the club, he joined them at 6 years old and this season, has racked up an impressive 12 goals and 15 assists, mainly at left back ! As regular readers know,I’m up in East Mids and some locals, including some of my home carers, are Posh f...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico

…… ……..did the Leverkusen players get in his head early doors? I think you are correct. It appeared to me that Leverkusen targeted him for the first 15 minutes. He looked too wound up and on the edge from almost minute one. It’s an easy trap to set when he’s in that mood. It’s no coincidence that b...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Michail Antonio

I’m not always his biggest fan during his twilight years, but fair play he gave all that he had tonight. Well done. He’s not the future, but he’s giving everything to end his career on a high. I didn’t see this phase of commitment coming, which proves I know nothing. Well done Mikey.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Well done to the gaffer yesterday, good decision making there I agree. Under enormous mid match pressure given how decisions were going (their pen, our disallowed goal). Just shows to me that any decision in any game can go either way just down to the most simple and uncontrollable event (Bowen get...

Re: Ben Johnson

I would just flag: Yes he had a good chance to score when the ball came to him perfectly, and Yes his clearance which led to the corner which led to their disallowed goal should have been much, much better given the time and space he had, but .. He brings a different right sided benefit that even th...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I know we have a poor bench but Moyes does himself no favours when at 1 goal down he brings on a left back for Bowen.I just cant fathom out some of his decisions.Just for that decision alone l wouldn't wait until he was in the tunnel ...l would send his P45 down to him on the touch line. You might ...

Re: Stopping the cheating

Oh come along. Franny Lee, Stan Bowles, Rodney Marsh. Just three who could teach some of today's "divers" a thing or two about the dark arts. As for the list of players you've mentioned, with the possible exception of Lee, a more thuggish array of "if it moves kick it" anim, als ...

Re: Stopping the cheating

Imo this obsession with "cheating" is getting to be a tad OTT. Football has been around a long time and players have always cheated to try and gain an advantage and probably always will. Diving is a form of cheating, just as tripping an opponent is. It's the referee';s responsibility to i...

This is the most important thread ….ever! If you have been around long enough to judge the deterioration then you’ll understand. If you haven’t, then it’s like old age, the deterioration is going to be visible to you very, very soon. Just consider how much ‘the game’ has changed in the last 25 years...

Re: West Ham Utd v Tottenham: match thread

I love the OV with so many saying we get up for the match v Tottenham. What do they expect in a London derby? Maybe they should try it. As for our Cup Final, that was last May actually. Maybe they should try that too. Sometimes, as they say, just turn to face and smile…. They know what we are, and ...

I agree, very solid tonight. Good decision making. Took no risks. Passing very good given the grass behind their defence. Given his start with us, makes you wonder if a certain Yorkshire man could recover his composure and contribution given a run/chance? It’s so easy to dig out players before they’...

… It’s really unfortunate because Phillips made the world of sense, we needed another option in the middle. Don’t think anyone could have foreseen how it was going to go.
