Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

wasn't Sullivan's agreement but that one between Rice and Arteta.... Sullivan just had to announce it.... I think Sully is an eejit, but... The one thing he did right was the sale of Rice. Arsenal thought they had him in the bag for 80 mil. That was their offer. Putting it out there he was for sale...

Give it a rest. They worked together closely. Moyes sits and drink wine eith Ferguson, Ings hugged Lana. Etc. He did it the moment the final whistle sounded, ran up with a big smile on his face I get that they're mates, by all means catch up & have a drink later but **** me, show at least a bit...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

Heroic performance. Great atmosphere. What a 3 years in Europe its been. Imagine if Paqueta and Emerson had not got silly bookings? We'd have won that imo. No signings in January really ****ed us. **** you Sullivan. Hopefully he's gone in the summer and we can push to get back to Europe. We didn't ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

My gut feeling is Sullivan planned to let his contract run down this season, then we had our best ever Premier League start and we're 6th at Christmas. But Sullivan had made up his mind, so he pulled the rug out in January and here we are. I still believe we had a terrible Jan window because of coc...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Possibly - Palmeiras play a unique brand of football, very tight interplay with players effectively following the ball creating overloads. The ultimate Carlos Kickball. Sully would be moist. I still don't know how to post video's but I just have that Harry Enfield 1920's v modern day footballers im...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Which has no bearing on his statement that you are trying to parse to fit your view. We need to play how we are told is what he said. Not were told or sometimes are told. We were 3-1 up and stopped doing what we had been told. You've somehow got that to we are designed to play how we played once we...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I'm struggling to understand the thought process behind the Board deliberately sabotaging/withholding funds from the current manager, who has delivered Europe on 3 consecutive seasons and was on pace for a fourth.. to then give those funds to a new manager when we may not be in Europe. That's not a...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Some very fair points TTS and presents the quandary I feel most of us face. I have reached the point where I hope he does go, as I feel he deserves to get out of the Circus and I want the whinging and whining to stop and s**t deflector removed so we focus on the real problems. Edited for brevity. G...

Re: Postecoglou: are the cracks beginning to show? [non WHU]

I like Ange as a bloke & like his straight talking manner, his Celtic team were a good watch but those players were much better than 95% of the opposition they faced. Always got found out in Europe though. Spurs first 10 games under him they looked sensational, but teams soon got wise to it, yes...

I don't.
They'd only give the trophies to Liverpool, Arsenal & Man Utd & that would be worse.
