It's genuinely like reading the Moyes thread

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
If we somehow go through I genuinely think it'll be one of the greatest matches we've ever had.
Leverkusen are genuinely one of the best teams in the world right now.

Genuinely.
Arsenal fans losing their minds.
Apparently he's egotistical and starts his useless favourites like Havertz.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Based on what, exactly? Are the only well-run clubs in the world the ones at the very top of the tree? That was meant to say "well run big club". Newcastle for example, they've got the ambition, infrastructure and money that if Howe left they'd aim really high. Villa likely too. We don't ...

Re: Midweek games
Not necessarily.
It's unlikely but if West Ham and Liverpool turn things around and Dortmund and Bayern go out next round.
Could've really done without four English clubs completing screwing the pooch this round.

Re: Midweek games
Ederson terrible in that shootout.
Dived early every time and Real players just had to roll the ball into the other corner.
Then Silva's penalty was atrocious!

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
So, you talk to the fans of any other top club and ask if they would want him. The answer will almost always be 'no'. Just like these media pundits that constantly castigate the WHU fanbase, but when asked if they would like him at their club go all coy about it. I don't think it's a huge surprise ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
If we get to the Semi-finals,it would be Moyes's greatest day of his managerial career. For me,Leverkusen are up with the very best in the world this year and if he got us through with no Paqueta,no.Bowen(if he does play,he won't be 100%) and no Emerson, that would be some result, possibly the greates...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Moyes is going. It's not me being nasty over the fella . I was probably the 1st west ham supporter to have his autograph as my cousin was going out with his team mate at Celtic at the time . Martin Reilly. If he was getting a new deal he would have got it by now . I think ex WHUFC employee is a bit...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I don't understand the argument about Top 6 clubs not taking Moyes as their manager. They're above us in the league, why would they? I'd find it hard to believe that any other fan group would seriously turn down a trophy, 3 consecutive seasons in Europe and no FFP jeopardy. It's a straw man argumen...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
My gut feeling is Sullivan planned to let his contract run down this season, then we had our best ever Premier League start and we're 6th at Christmas.
But Sullivan had made up his mind, so he pulled the rug out in January and here we are.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Our net spend under Moyes is roughly £55m per season.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:14 pm 10 players to improve us requires a budget of £250m-£300m.
If the budget is about 50%-60% of that, so is the sensible level of recruitment, imo.
So this can only go well.
