Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I’m a full devotee to Sarri. I think he’s a genuine and passionate man with a love of football, of improving players and playing positively. And he’s done it at clubs similar to our stature. His time at Chelsea is harshly viewed but stands up well. He’s like Potter without the weakness of not knowi...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Interesting to see Moyes refer to West Ham as "they." He doesn't seem to have as much affection for the place as he did some of his other old clubs. Definitely seems to be in a mode of detachment. He was saying "we've had three really great years in Europe and we want a fourth" ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
The problem you’ve got is, when we’ve played Burnley, Sheffield United etc etc we have put 11 behind the ball, we have played low block, and we’ve still played low possession. Against Burnley and Sheffield United this season we had 52%, 49%, 43% and 52% The higher two were home games. 8 points tota...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Oh great, the myth about Moyes alienating squad players is back.
Benrahma's appearances in all competitions
1st season: 34
2nd season: 48
3rd season: 52
4th season: 22 (left in January)
Alienated!

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
. The hyperbole with which people who fancy a change are subjected to is peculiar and never really answers the stylistic question marks around Moyes I'd argue there's more hyperbole about Moyes' style of football than anything else. "30% low block", "11 behind the ball", "n...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Our entire season essentially turned on an over reliance on a few key players. Bowen missed the replay against Bristol City and the first leg against Leverkusen. Paqueta went off early against Bristol City and missed the 2nd leg against Leverkusen. Alvarez missed the replay against Bristol City and ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Ultimately the issue is that all managers fail here. Moyes has been the least failiest and lasted the longest. I would in fact argue he hasn't failed at all. It doesn't matter how good the team is, how close we are to the top four, in January Sullivan will see we're not in danger of being relegated ...

Areola
Johnson Casey Ogbonna Emerson
Alvarez Soucek
Kudus Paqueta Earthy
Bowen
Walking wounded. Zouma, Aguerd and Mavropanos all possibly unavailable, unlikely Cresswell and Coufal can play another intense game at their age. Ward-Prowse, Bowen and Antonio left it all out on the pitch yesterday too.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I find David Moyes the most frustrating person in football, tonight he went head to head against arguably the best football team in Europe attacked them and for 70 minutes we where the better team, if we had a stronger squad we would of defiantly won tonight. however we will go back to dire defensi...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Come on the ref is horrendous but he hasn't stopped us going through its running the same players into the ground and having a awful bench the brilliant first half intensity was brilliant but 2nd half we are knackered, brilliant effort from every player 👏 👏👏 One leads to the other though right? If ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Genuinely one of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen.
Killed our momentum every time we got forward, gave Leverkusen a freekick every time they lost the ball, let Antonio be kicked out of the game.
Awful.

We at least deserved to win this leg, but the referee and our bench made it impossible.

I've genuinely never seen a refereeing performance this biased.
