Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I wonder if anyone will take a punt on Mohammed Kamara after his heroics for Sierra Leone so far at AFCoN.

His technique is mental from highlights, but I can see him popping up in Europe somewhere.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Origi is good enough to challenge Antonio. I’m not saying Origi is a world beater but people way overrate Antonio. Only Salah is involved in more goals this season than Antonio. You way underrate him. The issue with Origi is that he hasn't played regular first team football since he was 19, we lite...

Righto
I can't see us winning there being a strong indictment of their greater quality. Honestly until they sort themselves out I think going there would be a mistake for any young player, just look at Sancho.

A buy back clause should be first refusal, not a mandatory sale fee.
They're vile.

Just protects the rich clubs more and more. If Livramento really kicks on at Southampton, Chelsea can nab him back for £40 million, even if they don't want him themselves, they can just do it to sell him again.

Origi is more than capable of being a starting player here
Not when we sign Broja in the summer though :D

How good is Raphinha? The thing that separates him from other similar players is he seems to routinely make the right decisions.
I think it's really strange that Rennes sold him at a loss after one fairly productive season for them.

Question. If we were offered our money back on him today, would you take it?
Not relevant to why I said, but no.

We're already short in those positions, we're one injury from starting Yarmolenko.

Sky state £25 million and £7.7 million add ons.
And you intimate knowledge of the club mean you know those add ons have been reached?

Chelsea have a buy back clause with Broja
He's only on loan, they don't need a buy back.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I’d take Origi, think he’d do well here and definitely contribute enough to make him a worth while signing. But agree Broja looks fantastic and would be my first choice. Seriously if there is a inkling chelsea would sell him and we surely surely have to act. Be criminal if moyes didn’t even try for...

The difference between him and Raphina, who cost less. Wow.
Why did we sign a player who previously flopped in the PL for £30 million, a massive amount for us. Really starnge transfer.
£25 million, will the lies ever stop? I may never trust again.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Broja surely won't be available now. His parents also want him to stay at Southampton. Maybe Che Adams might be available in the summer. But is he good enough to lead the line? He's an adult, I'm not sure his parents loving the coast is that much of a swing. We absolutely shouldn't sign the player ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

From the Athletic today: Villa want a centre back this month as they only have two fit (one being Hause) Broja will either be sold or fight for his place at Chelsea in the summer, not a loan. I'd be on the phone to Chelsea trying to agree a fee straight away. Villa aren't selling us Hause when they...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

If you look at the stats, Vlasic's 60 mins on the field was damning 0 dribbles 0 shots 0 aerials won 69% passing success 16 passes total Dispossessed once (which would normally be an ok number, but...you know what happened that one time) Against a patched up Leeds side that can't defend that's...no...

Bizarre, however does us a favour.
Well yes quite

Just very frustrating to have lost him, especially for yesterday's game where our only options were Yarmolenko and Masuaku, for the sake of 20 minutes in a friendly and 7 minutes off the bench against Sierra Leone.

Re: ✍ Welcome to West Ham, Said Benrahma

Looks like we might be getting a refreshed and invigorated Benrahma sooner than expected. If they don't beat Ivory Coast on Thursday, his tournament will be over, having played about 10 minutes of football (so far). It will have been like a holiday, albeit a disappointing and frustrating one. Like ...

We should 100% be after his. He would make a huge impact for us. He'd be one of the best players we've had in decades.

As long as wages are not way ott.
Would need a stringent medical though! Considering his heart.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

But then if they did a job for us like Dawson has until a proper first choice centre back arrived ie Zouma, then nobody would complain? We're agreeing, if someone is available on such a cheap deal we should, but realistically there's not going to be a cheap loan available in January who's good enou...
