Gary Oldman as Churchill and you see what an actor might achieve when addressing a huge iconic character with so many complexities. and you ain't far wrong there at all mate.. he was magnificent in that role.......... even if some of the historical facts were wrong........ from our friends over at ...

Re: What did you watch last night?

Death in Paradise E08 what a finish. no spoilers, though I imagine the papers etc. have divulged how it ended. watched some video follow ups, again won't divulge anything just in case, but it did say that it was the THIRD highest rated series after Happy Valley and couldn't catch the other one. the...

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium

I think Toney’s the better alternative to Watkins to be honest. That arrogance is very useful at this level If Kane was out for the tournament though we should play Bellingham there agreed mate at least for the last game where it wasn't working for Watkins. play Bellingham as a false 9 or tip of a ...

decent read, and a fair assessment I reckon... might be a little like deja vu ???? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/24/does-gareth-southgate-have-the-instinct-for-making-right-england-substitutions But affecting the game from the bench, and doing so proactively – reading the little shif...

Re: England -v- Brazil (C4 from 1900)

without Kane, he "could" have chosen to go with Bellingham as a false 9 or deep striker whatever we want to call it like he does for Real just for a change up. I understand giving Watkins a run out. no problem with that. it wasn't working for whatever reason, so therefore I would have like...

Re: England -v- Brazil (C4 from 1900)

see I don't mind him starting or playing in a friendly.. can he play at this level ? is he a Rice replacement or play alongside him ? Phillips is miles away from the England set up right now so who else is there ? Gallagher was crap, wasn't brilliant last time out iirc.... pretty much anyone would b...

Re: England -v- Brazil (C4 from 1900)

said earlier that the Brazilian coach will learn more about his team thn Southgate. what's he going to learn about Rice that he doesn't know already ? what we do need to know is who plays if he's hurt or suspended ? who covers for Foden who played all 90 ? who plays instead of Maguire and/or Stones ...
