Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
if it's a pointless discussion, then the Boss might want to close this forum down. or only allow those who completely agree with whatever happens to post an opinion. or those who don't agree, not be allowed to post at all ? I thought that the complete existence of a discussion forum was for anyone (...

Re: Return of The I've Been To The Cinema To See thread
not having seen art II yet, I don't know of course, where the story "ends." having read all of the books I of course know where the story goes. I'll have to wait to see where the story finishes up in the film to form an opinion, but I think that part I did about as much as it could with wh...

Re: What did you watch last night?
and there's a new limited series of The Walking Dead - Those Who Live with Rick and Michonne. I found the other spin offs pretty good. another one coming is The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol now it may be overkill for some.. but for me, I'll go with it... Nagan and Maggie was good. ...

Re: What did you watch last night?
cheers mate. I've found that lately I am not too fussed as to plot holes. I love watching enjoyable viewing and shamefully, it HAS to contain pretty good scenery if the plot isn't great. Death In Paradise Beyond Paradise Vera Signora Volpe Monsieur Spade I loved Lewis, Inspector Morse and Endeavour ...

as usual Wilko, a well thought out, and very reasoned match review. looking forward to your usual game breakdown on the KUMB update thingy..

Re: Plastic fantastic
I know that now at my age it won't be.. BUT yes a trip to the Nou Camp the Bernabeau La Bombanera the Allianza Signal Iduna Park and looking at some of the lads who post here, some of them do non league grounds just to experience the atmosphere, but because I couldn't eat the meat pies being a veget...

Re: Plastic fantastic
like Pinky alluded too, and please correct me if I'm wrong, people from Manchester supported Manchester teams. people from Surrey ? not so much. you'd even go to your non league team rather than go to Liverpool just because they were "winning." that's why teams like Barnsley, for example, ...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
we spent too long defending in the second half in general, for whatever reason, and it ended up with the players being physically tired, ergo, mentally tired, and made pisspoor decisions more times than not.....
again which led to us defending more and more.....
etc. etc. etc.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
I came away from the game today incredibly bitter. VAR and the handball rule are a match made in hell. There is no way a decision should come to that long to arrive at, especially when the intent is being subjectively assessed. Ultimately the ref made the safe decision when sent to the screen. VAR ...

Re: Dear Citizens of the Peoples Republic of KUMB
I’m really, really trying - but where is the line? I had to turn around to a guy screaming “he’s so sh*t” about Paqueta to ask what was wrong with him today. Maybe I’m getting older, but honestly, I’m getting so tired of some of it. as a slight aside, I used to bartend. for years. people get drunk....

I think that's fair. I watch stream as I have no other source to watch games. OPTUS is an Australian tv channel that carries the PL games. they're advertising "a PL experience" where you can buy tickets to Spurs games. now of course I imagine that it's more now in the spotlight due to Aing...

Re: ✍ Welcome Danny Ings
when he has played "lately", Sheff U and Burnley, he's had an impact. I "think" (only an opinion of course) but he buries that JWP chance if he's on the field. yes he has to be in that position of course but there's no reason to think he wouldn't have been. it wasn't one of those...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
there actually IS a different rule for handball in the box for defenders and forwards. which imvho is stupid. hand ball is hand ball. I'd like the "old" rule of "deliberate" or "did the player gain an advantage by an accidental hand ball" reinstated. most of the calls o...

Re: Dear Citizens of the Peoples Republic of KUMB
as usual Rio, the voice of reason. I don't understand calling people on a forum names because of an opinion. and of course most are posting in the euphoria or opposite of a match. I disagree with many people, but there's loads of them that present their opinion in a reasoned manner. I have loads of ...

watching a pickleball men's doubles final. they have the option to challenge an opponents call and go to video. it has to be clear and conclusive (in their parlance) and the commentary team have just come out with (after maybe 3 minutes) "if it takes this long then they can't overturn the call ...

meanwhile in Madrid, Atleti find themselves down 0-2 to Barca with Joao Felix scoring against his "parent" team. Javi gets another red card and is banished to the stand... still 30 minutes left but so far, looks like Barca might get the 3 points here.... make that 3 with Fermin getting a h...
