Re: Sudden disappearances into obscurity
The title of this thread is coincidentally the same as the words printed above the gates at Chelsea’s academy. True story that.

I want him to be more "aggressive" on the pitch, he comes across as too nice.

I can’t get enough of our (European) campaign, keep watching the highlights from all the games. Love it.

Re: Stade Rennais FC Vs West Hm United
Not sure for this, but typically it’s to the right of the main stand (looking away from the stand). It’s a small pen with an upper and lower section. Netting to keep objects flying, essentially like any European ground.

Re: Stade Rennais FC Vs West Hm United
Rennes is a beautiful city, I am close to the club as my friend is a season ticket holder there. I visited last year and you can walk to the stadium from the city centre (about 20-25) minutes, although there are regular buses. The city has a fantastic food market on Saturday mornings and its very ea...

Lesley Ugochukwu from Rennes, 19, played almost 50 first team games.

Re: The kids are all right
I always believe if you're good enough you will find a way into the first team. If we start bowing down to kid's agents demanding large salaries for 16 years olds then that sets an unhealthy precedent. Take Rice, could've forced a move at 19 if he wanted, but decided that 60k a week was incentive en...

Re: Paul Nevin departs
I'll miss him standing on the touchline whispering into Moyes ear. Not sure what he was saying but we finished 6th and 7th. It's no coincidence that the drop off in this activity saw our league position plummet.

Re: Declan Rice
I think he leaves us with huge credit in the bank and for the majority will be seen as a hero for the cup win last season. For many, myself included, having an academy graduate lift a major European trophy is the stuff we dream about. I don't begrudge him a move, its a short career and realistically...

Re: Declan Rice
Rice being 24 is ultimately what stains his otherwise incredible West Ham legacy the most. It’s too soon for someone who truly loves this club to say goodbye. Especially when you are saying goodbye to a Champion and European qualifier for the third straight year. Not playing down our achievements, ...

Re: Declan Rice
I think people just need to move on and accept he is going. Last week the team brought me the greatest happiness I have known supporting them in 40 years, its been mostly rubbish. Rice played a pivotal part in that team that delivered, and for that, I will forever be thankful and wish him well. Not ...

Re: Declan Rice
Does anyone honestly think that had Moore, Brooking and Bonds had played in this day and age that they wouldn't have moved to a top four club already? You could argue that Moore would have done that much sooner than Rice. People saying that Arsenal are a stepping stone, that maybe but they have a go...
