Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Been scoring late goals all season, apparently. Must be a fitness thing. Not having that, their goal last night was as jammy as the come. Having watched them in the flesh over two legs I can honestly say I'm mystified as to how Leverkusen are unbeaten this season. We've played and beat far superior...

Takes a big man to fess up and admit he's got something wrong.
I’m pretty sure you were sat the row behind me on the 7.04 Eurostar out of St Pancras on Thursday morning.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Another occasion where our fans prove their degeneracy. I wouldn’t mind but the bars after were full of fans who sound like they’ve never set foot in the east end, let alone were from there. On to the game itself it was summed up simply - don’t cheer a goal if you can’t deal with a defeat. No idea ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
They just won the title with a 5 nil win I would say we stand no chan Course we do. They’re no better than any of the Premier League top three. If we create the right atmosphere and go in 1-0 at half time anything could happen. All this worshipping at their feet because they’ve won the Bundesliga a...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
And there's the rub Billy. Supporters opinion of success/entertainment. If I agreed (and had experience of) what you see as shocking performances and tactics, regularly over 4 years, then I may agree with you. But I don't, and neither do many others. I have been regularly 'entertained' during his t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Whilst I agree Benaloon, wholeheartedly, I think the point is still valid. Despite what many may think I'd love Moyes to stay on and bring us exciting football. I just think we've seen enough absolutely shocking performances and tactics that it feels a natural time for a parting, a new manager comin...

This exact thought crossed my mind earlier when I was watching Bayern Munich 2-1 up and controlling things at the Emirates.
However Leverkusen did nearly lose to Qarabag so there is hope.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Not related to lineups, but does anyone know the best way to watch/stream the match on a delayed start? Flying home from work and won't be in the door until 9pm – want to avoid the phone and get to watch the 90 like it's just kicked off. Don't imagine my firestick will let me do it so happy to pay ...

Personally, if Bowen is injured i would play Cornet Fab Coufal Zouma Agueard Emerson Soucek JWP Paq Cornet Kudos Antonio Not a bad shout to keep Paqueta central. The fact that Cornet hasn't been deemed good enough for even 5 minutes in recent weeks is where my concerns would be. It's hardly like th...

This is 100% set up for the Yorkshire Pudding redemption arc.
Fabianski
Coufal
Mavronpanos
Zouma
Emerson
Soucek
Phillips
Kudus
JWP
Paqueta
Antonio
Phillips with the first and then Danny Ings from the bench late on to really sh*thouse ourselves to a win.

Call me a modern football w*nker but I don't like my full backs over 6 foot.
Pacey, good on the ball are the preference. The quicker the better, we can teach them how to tackle. Think Cool Runnings but for defending.

In the same way Joe Biden is President because he wasn’t Trump, surely Susan Hall should be the next Mayor because she isn’t Khan?

60 points gets you Europe but we need to win 5 out of 7 to get that.
It’s a stretch too far sadly which makes the Villa, Burnley and Sheffield United games look all the more frustrating.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread
So it’s the players deliberately watching wolves play football and not trying to take a hold of the game?
If that’s the case why does it happen every week?
Another gutless setup and another experiment of Bowen through the middle that doesn’t work.
