Re: George Earthy

The nature of the Fulham fans singing when he was clearly in a bit of trouble was not on. What absolute tossers.

Re: Stopping the cheating

Plus also... the refs can't see everything, it's just not possible. And with head injuries, they have to err on the side of caution. I don't blame the refs for stopping a game at all for that.

Re: Stopping the cheating

What gets me is the 100% ****ing a head injury to get the game stopped. Two things should happen here: player goes off for assessment, for however long that takes. VAR should review it while they are getting assessed, if it is "clear and obvious" no head injury has occurred, the player rec...

Well done to everyone involved.
I mean, this is true, but Spurs undoubtedly have other costs that we don't.

Re: Premier League: Financial Reports (2022/2023)

Brighton yesterday released its 22/23 Financial Report. It includes a great deal of information about other clubs including West Ham. It definitely undermines Sullivan's claims about not being able to buy new players because of Financial Fair Play rules. https://www.northstandchat.com/thedailyseagu...

Re: West Ham Utd v Tottenham: match thread

there delusional and always have been . Both Alvarez and areola walk into their team as well and we were missing both . No mention of that surprise surprise . Of course, but neither of whom played, hence my previous comment. So five of ours would walk into their team, plus maybe Emerson. Seems abou...

Putting aside the usual cup final/park the bus etc comments, that is mostly accurate. Big shout though to the person who doesn't understand that "dominating the ball" doesn't equal dominating the game.

Good game. Fair result. Brady’s UEFA category 4 stadium with iconic roof that still lets the whole lower tier get wet. Did the new DJ contribute anything to the atmosphere? I couldn't go last night, but I can possibly comment on this (despite not experiencing it) as I am a DJ myself. Whoever DJs th...

Phillips was our worst player today according to Whoscored. That seems about right to me. Miles off the pace or just not good enough? I don’t know, but he’s about half the player Alvarez is.

Obviously the transfer never went through but just how complicated would signing Jota have been ? Do I know and understand all the tax implications? No . Surely an accountant would have been able to put it in simple terms ? I'm guessing for 'complicated' read ' too expensive ' Too expensive for the...

Faded a bit in the second half, but thought he was doing alright until his second yellow. A notable improvement over his previous appearances.

Re: West Ham United FC Vs Arsenal FC Match thread

Bit of a difference in the calibre of opposition though. For me, Aguerd is the problem. He is far too casual and lacks the dedication needed for this league. Give me a Tarkowski or Maguire type any day. Aguerd would be better suited to Ligue 1 imo. Yeah, I kind of agree actually. Although maybe if ...

It's not about bringing details up and yeah, 80% would be lip-service, but if you to build some trust, you simply do not keep shtum. There are several examples of clubs and their directors explaining signings and club-decisions in detail. Brentford were/are good at it. At least last season. Clubs i...

The problem is, nobody is buying it. The veneer is too thin. When my mate was there he had that exact...
