Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Surely Bowen can get some sort of injection. Even a 50% Jarrod is far and away better than any other option we've got.

Re: ✍ Welcome James Ward-Prowse
I genuinely must have been watching a different player... he's been a very good signing for me. He's not elite and he won't run the game (not what he is there for... and the difference between being available for 30 million and 60 million) but he's been solid in-match and elite from set piece deliv...

Could we get 10-15m back off the Saints if they get promoted this season?

He’s going to go to Man City and become an absolute superstar under Guardiola.
I reckon Messi would’ve struggled yesterday with the options that Paqueta had

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Given that Kudus and Paqueta had absolute stinkers, I'd say it's even more impressive that Antonio managed to create two really good attacks. We can't be as bad going forward next week, just praying that Bowen's fit. Stinkers in incredibly harsh considering they were both battling 3/4 players every...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
Honeslty no issues my end with the game plan.
Everything that went wrong did.
Paqueta yellow
Emerson yellow
Significant defeat
The tie was over for me as soon as Paqueta lost his head in the first half

If Bowen is out of the second leg, I fear that is the tie over after the Paqueta yellow card

Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen
Whatever the period of rest , from previous times he's been injured (like that ankle injury) , it's taken him a good 3-4 weeks playing to get back his usual standard. The rest of the team and squad need to step up now to keep our season alive. The Ankle injury that caused him to miss both Seville l...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
These are the sort of games where i'm far happier with a pragmatic David Moyes in charge than a De Zerbi or someone like that.
Moysey will know exactly how to set up to give us a fighting chance in that second leg, something De Zerbi failed miserably at when he took Brighton toe to toe with Roma.

Personally, id let him go and go out and sign someone better.
We don't tend to win many football games when Ben Johnson plays.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread
On paper. But since Antonio has come back I think we've played a lot better. Talking about when Lucas gets subbed. It helps Kudus as well. It will be difficult, but it can be done. If our 2 Brazilians take yellows, they need to make sure they count. Nothing stupid like kicking a ball away. Stopping...

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24
Henry Winter is a liar or I can't read. I know which my money is on. Capacities are slightly reduced for UEFA finals. Our final last year was at the Eden Arena which officially holds 19,370. Believe there was around 18,000 tickets available for the final, which we recieved an allocation of 6,000ish...

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24
Conference League final allocation is a right kick in the balls. 9k per team (3k increase on last year) in a smaller stadium! Missed out by a point, would definitely get one for that :swear: The Stadium this year in Athens has a 12,500 larger capacity over Prague, hence the increase in allocation.

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24
36k out of 48k going to fans is pretty good to be fair, especially for a UEFA final.
Think that was the same for the final at the Aviva in 2011.
