Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

The Cat & Canary is possibly the best of a pretty average bunch (in the Wharf). I've also ended up in the Dickens Inn, but again IMO its only average. You can also do a similar crawl on the other side of the river. Moby Dick, Ship & Whale, Blacksmiths Arms, Salt Quay, Mayflower and Angel. The Black...

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

hammer_lad: I've done a similar crawl, but struggled to find decent pubs at Canary Wharf and St Katherine's dock. We ended up starting at the Grapes, then Prospect of Whitby, Captain Kidd, Town of Ramsgate and the Dickens Inn. Please can you tell me where did you go? Yeah fair point, we met at Cana...

The Grapes is further along Narrow St towards Canary Wharf and is a much nicer pub. I think it's owned by Ian McKellen.
Yeah it is and yeah it is, all part of the crawl.

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

Yeah mate, It has a good position in in between the wharf and wrapping, then a nice front right on the river with seating and standing overlooking it. But last time we went in there it was fairly busy but took an age to get served as all the barmen loved themselves a little too much, and they were s...

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

On a summers day that's one of the best pub crawls going, from Canary Wharf to St Katherine's dock. Ramsey's place is the only one that spoils it with its f-ing schooners rather than a pint.

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

I've been over there now for 2 years and you do get used to it - you have to if you want to have a pint. Probably the best is Davys or failing that the Henry Addlington, which are the nearest you'll get to pubs. I don't tend to notice the clientele these day (maybe because I am one of em) but bar e...

Looks like we've got 2 spares if anyone is interested.

Proper seats not restricted view - face value obviously, so 60 quid for the both.

Give me a message if interested.

Cheers.
