Re: Train Strike Brighton Away

Speaking to some people down that way, it may be possible to get a train down but they may stop running from about 7pm. Parking is a non-starter near the ground as it's usually for sth's/members and you have to book your slot in advance. What may be more helpful to drivers is parking somewhere in a ...

Sampdoria in the Makita tournament at Highbury.
Never have I been so wiped away by a footballing lesson, the likes of which was handed out to us then. They were an absolute joy to watch.

Re: Romford

Sadly this is true. Had a text from his wife this morning. Its the worst form of brain cancer that will return bigger and more aggressive. Hard to know what to say. Yeah, well, aggressive cancer might meet its match in Chas  I told him the chemo might be good for weight loss. 3 guesses what h...

Latest news on the Nexts, FWIW, is that delivery is now expected January/early February.
I should have. IIRC it was a 2 port jobbie.

I should have a Kempston Pro and Quickshot (2?) in amongst it.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

I was told by the FSF that you can’t refuse. Been happening since the move where we enter and at every away game for my little one for years. Really? That's interesting as we've (my lot and all the troop of kids) never had it happen on the bridge (by the Orbit) we go over since the move from UP. Ki...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Don't know if this has been raised yet but there's now a new policy of searching kids at the bridge entrances. Sheff U was the first game I got asked if they could search my two 9 year olds (told them to jog on), and then this Sat, one of the stewards tried to metal-detect one of my boys before I ha...

Re: Spectrum Next

Assuming they're all basic versions, about £50 each for those. On the other hand if you had a Spectrum toastrack you'd be looking at £200+, an Amiga 1200 not much less, an Atari Falcon around £600-800 and a Sam Couple possible a grand plus. Let me know if you've got an Oric 1 as I've been after one...

Probably one of the best gaming systems ever for all round versatility. Perfect for my kids (8yrs), for travelling and playing with the rest of the family. I doubt many people are going to pack up and take their PS4's/xboxes to the inlaws for a weekend but the fact you can take this thing and easily...

They really don’t have unlimited funds or unlimited time. This. While I'm in the mood, let's also talk about that other misnomer, the losses to Newham. Let's not forget that Newham would have been a partner in the OS under the original tender and that they would have got their £40m outlay back with...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

LLDC's position is that West Ham's tenancy costs them more to facilitate than they make in rent ... true or not that is their stated position ... any landlord who believes they are losing money on a rental contract will a) do nothing to help the tenant b) move heaven and earth to get the tenant out...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

All of this basically. I don't think the LLDC will be allowed to carry on burning money at the rate they are. They would be sensible to dust off the initial proposal and ask us if we want to buy it for that. No doubt we'd then point out what a **** show they'd made if the conversion and the cost of...
