Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
As noble as the concept of an opposition holding a government to account is, the reality is it is all bluster. Did Labour prevent Thatcher privatising everything, or selling off council homes? Did the Tories stop Blair running up debt or opening the doors to uncapped migrant limits? Did Labour prev...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
I would not call it the wrong decision. I would call it a stupid and somewhat dishonest decision. People now repeatedly lie about matters, that we always intended to leave the single market, that there would be no economic consequences etc. Only a few are at least honest enough to accept they really...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
Personalities aside, Blair is right to speak out just as Farage & co would have done if they had got 48%. The vote was too close to make a decision either way. It may well we 52 - 48 the other way now (I suspect it is at least that now). It is not the will of the people to leave it is the will ...

Re: Trump
I guess we should not be surprised when the intelligence services discover links between Trump officials and Russian intelligence, and Trump's primary concern was that matters were linked.

Mark Noble is a very good player who I hope continues to serve West Ham for the next four or five seasons.
The question is clearly how we fit four into three.

Re: How your tax was spent 2015-2016
Of course you would Pinky. The whole purpose of this thread is to pick up on the points made by some, both in the Brexit thread and by the Deputy head of UKIP on QT last week, was that you can solve the NHS problems by reducing the overseas aid budget. Any debate on the future of the NHS can only be...

How your tax was spent 2015-2016
Anyone else get the wheel? A couple of obvious highlights: A quarter of my tax contribution went on welfare. About 2/3 went on welfare, the NHS and state pensions. Overseas aid was approximately 1.2%. The EU contribution was less than 1%, or 1/20 of the money that went on the NHS. From this, we can ...
