Re: Your Ropey League Final

It isn't a UEFA Competition and was set up initially for certain teams from certain Cities being able to enter regardless. I mean, they are European trophies, but not sure if it's counted as major. The UEFA Cup sort of replaced it, but with different rules. Either way, whatever. We know what we hav...

Re: Your Ropey League Final

I’ve got Spurs fans who ‘gave up on football in January’ coming out of the woodwork now. Good luck not hearing about it. Honestly, anyone but them. Absolutely anyone. I’d happily have a statue of IB hugging Moyes erect ed outside the London Stadium to get this result voided. I didn't read the 'ed' ...

Re: Things you've always wanted to know......

That could be it. Used to work with a girl whose husband was in Byker Grove. Not a huge role but I recognised him when he joined a leaving drinks after work. I was an Extra in Byker Grove once. I had to sit at a table playing cards with PJ and Duncan but had my back to the camera. My mate had to si...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Nottingham Forest: match thread

Too many 3-0 predictions.

A pre-match thread needs to be super miserable.

Think Man Utd. Newcastle. Arsenal.

Re: Other matches (3-9 May)

My Sunderland mate has said all season, they guilty of sitting back and defending too deep when they have the lead. Inviting pressure. Like we have done plenty of times.

They've done it the whole match tonight. Daft. Invites so much pressure, an opposition goal is inevitable.

Re: Little things that irritate you

Every sunny weekend to the tune of motorised gardening equipment. Except mine. Mine sounds like lark's song, and it's only for ten minutes. Our neighbour likes to pick nice warm weekend days to run his weed burner over his path/patio despite being retired and able to do it during the week when ever...

Re: Manchester United v West Ham United, match thread

I think the more miserable the pre-match thread vibe, the better the result (I am guilty of it). Thinking Newcastle and Arsenal away and today.

The threads where everyone predicts an easy 3-0 win....never turn into an easy 3-0 win.

Re: Other matches (3-9 May)

Might be in my head but Newcastle seem to end up playing against ten men at home very often.

I haven't seen Jackson's red so may be deserved, but they always seem to play against ten men. I should probably look up the stats to see if my bias is valid or just bollix.
