Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Nottingham Forest: match thread

Too many 3-0 predictions.

A pre-match thread needs to be super miserable.

Think Man Utd. Newcastle. Arsenal.

West Ham 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Re: Other matches (3-9 May)

My Sunderland mate has said all season, they guilty of sitting back and defending too deep when they have the lead. Inviting pressure. Like we have done plenty of times.

They've done it the whole match tonight. Daft. Invites so much pressure, an opposition goal is inevitable.

Re: Little things that irritate you

Every sunny weekend to the tune of motorised gardening equipment. Except mine. Mine sounds like lark's song, and it's only for ten minutes. Our neighbour likes to pick nice warm weekend days to run his weed burner over his path/patio despite being retired and able to do it during the week when ever...

Re: Manchester United v West Ham United, match thread

I think the more miserable the pre-match thread vibe, the better the result (I am guilty of it). Thinking Newcastle and Arsenal away and today.

The threads where everyone predicts an easy 3-0 win....never turn into an easy 3-0 win.

Bowen and Kudus did well to make the selection.

Paqueta’s head must not be right....?

Re: Other matches (3-9 May)

Might be in my head but Newcastle seem to end up playing against ten men at home very often.

I haven't seen Jackson's red so may be deserved, but they always seem to play against ten men. I should probably look up the stats to see if my bias is valid or just bollix.

Re: ✍️ Welcome Mohammed Kudus

If he could lay a simple ball off he'd be great as an outlet for receiving the ball in our own half, retaining it, turning, losing his man then bringing the ball forward and laying it wide/into space. He just doesn't seem to be able to lay the simple ball off or play it into space. He has to take on...

Re: Other matches (3-9 May)

My Sun'land supporting pal at work says that since it was nailed on they'd be in the play-offs, the manager has rotated a lot to keep their legs fresh for it. Their form has suffered massively because of it though. They've gone two up front (Mayenda and Isidor) for the first time in months. Time fo...

Re: Other matches (3-9 May)

Coventry vs Sunderland tonight.

My SAFC mate says Coventry are their massive bogey team. That, added to their terrible form means he isn't holding out much hope.

I had a flick through the BBC to read a match preview and cannot find a single mention of it. :chin:

Not as funny as giving away a 3-1 lead and getting bumped out the cup would be. C'mon Bodo.

Man Utd are currently the shitest they've been for decades.

So, we will lose limply 2-0.
