Re: Romford (New Just Giving Link in 1st Post).
I am sorry to be so late to this thread. I haven't been on the forum for a long time. Just wanted to add something here out of respect to the big fella. I only met Chas in person a few times but I know that he was a great contributor to the West Ham community. I remember him as a big-hearted and fun...

Re: Qatar 2022 World Cup
I'm pretty uncomfortable at the prospect of watching games at Qatar 22. I've watched every world cup since 78, so it won't be easy to stay away from the TV. I'm not the sort of person to get involved in political boycotts and make huge moral stances but the 2022 is not only corrupt, even beyond pre...

What's happened about the Mawson bid? Is that now dead in the water?
Do we still need him?

Re: England's 2018 World Cup performance; in retrospect
I don't think that I can add much to what has already been said about some of the individual performances. Overall, I think that they performed far better than anyone could ever have dreamed a month ago; the disappointment that some people are expressing is misplaced imo, the outcome was far greater...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 28 days remaining
I think that the board needs to be congratulated. New manager, New Head of Recruitment, new coaching staff and some very decent new players going into the 2018/2019 season. They have certainly done the business this year. Cannot wait for Anfield. :scarfer: I have already got money on us winning our...

Re: 3rd /4th place match thread ~ England v Belgium
I am curious to see how Southgate approaches this game. On one hand, it is a pointless match, so why bother trying; just give the other players a run-out. On the other hand there is: the Golden Boot contest between Lukaku and Kane; a chance to place our highest since 66; prove that we could have bea...

You could make them into an animated GIF and store them on a floppy disk if previous ones are anything to go by!Samba wrote:Really can't see me watching this one.

I’m an emotional bloody wreck now having watched that video I’d never seen that before
I don't ever remember seeing it on TV, just came across it by accident.
An excellent video that really captures how Italia 90 really united the nation.

Basically, you can say/chant/shout anything you like, no matter how offensive or distasteful because it is 'just a bit of banter' and 'it's been going on for years'. So that's OK?

What's the latest on Collison's shoulder?
The other day he was 50/50, now it's all gone a bit quiet.

Was in the West Upper yesterday.
Usually it is quiet enough to hear the sound of your own heart beat, but there was a great atmosphere and plenty of noise.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bolton: match thread
I have to agree with the comments about lack of width. Both today and last week we were trying to take the ball through the middle of the park instead of exploiting the acres of space on the wings. But this is a whole new way of playing for us so maybe it'll need a bit more time before the tactic st...

FACF: Liverpool 3 West Ham Utd 3 (lose 2-4 pens) (13/05/06)
I know that it is early days yet and we have one more league game with some other little club ( a formality  ) but I thought that it might take the sting off of recent ticket discussions by getting down to the real business of the game itself. (some of you seem to have forgotten that the game i...
