Re: Man City (Non-WHU)

Barca, Juve and Real are all huge clubs with a global fan base. What they receive in shirt sales etc is a million miles ahead of what PSG and City get. Whilst thats true some of these clubs have done exactly what City have and exaggerated their numbers or used other investments as ways to get aroun...

Re: Man City (Non-WHU)

This just brings the ugly side of the game to the surface. It isn't just Man City but as they are not one of the more "elite" in the sense of powerhouse teams they have to come down on them. I think City have too much power though and will go to the CAS with the best lawyers in the business and get ...

Re: The manner that we concede

After watching the Brighton highlights we are not cursed, we are just absolutely awful at the back and have been for some time. Finishing higher up the table last season clouded over our defensive frailties, but they were clearly there for all to see and never improved upon. I am not watching the cl...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Antonio needs to be looked after, he has struggled with injuries and i doubt he is 100% fit. He is very explosive so as soon as he is out of puff after 65 - 70 minutes he is an injury waiting to happen.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Moyes isn't a manager that inspires me but i can't blame him for too much so far, maybe apart from the occasioanl back 5 system which i hate. But i do understand the need to try and be more solid and compact away from home. I find it hard to blame his subs against Brighton, being 3-1 up it is down t...

Re: Too many games

I find it exhausting as a football fan sometimes, i feel like West Ham are on the tv all the time which is starting to piss me off now! The League Cup is £250k prize money? They did the draw at the back of Morrisons earlier this year...i think its fair to say this competition is dead and burie...

Re: Ben Johnson

I would like to see more of him, or certainy more effort to introduce him into the first team fold. If we can give him some experience and push him at this level then a quick full back who is comfortable playing on both sides is an extremely good option to have. I have not seen very much of him at a...

Re: Stuart Pearce: the board blocked my return (Talksport)

Lets be honest, he is a good bloke, but another member of the Euro 96 coaching curse

Not really a big loss, his management and coaching career has been awful at best really.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

We haven't had consistency for a long time now, different managers, different ideas and any new manager needs that time to bring their own players in to instill their ideas. I don't think this squad comes close to what Pellegrini wants, bringing in as many players as he has hasn't even touched the s...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Too right. We have gone from Allardyce (save us) to Bilic (we need to play football) to Moyes (save us) and then back to Pellegrini....there is no plan. They are just so desperate to stay in this league it gets in the way of future planning.

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

We dont really put the ball into the box, or oddly enough work the ball into box well when we have signed supposed "creative" players. We look absolutely abysmal when Lanzini and Fornals are in the same team, trying to do the same thing from deep leaving Haller completely isolated. The other issue i...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

they have no long term plan in place to replace one manager with another one on the same page. none. Exactly this. This is likely Pellegrini's last gig, the intention should have been to get a high profile manager in like Pellegrini, change the mentality of this club and finally make us look attrac...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

I just feel like everything is a shortcut, he has ambition but wants to do it as cheap as possible. Our net spend, the foreign punts on loan, the free transfers and worst of all this gigantic bowl of a stadium thats is rented, not fit for football but can acommodate loads of bums on seats. Everythin...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

Why was Ogbonna dropped? I think he has been one of our better players this season. I would put Balbuena as our third choice centre back, i just don't think he looks that good and the £4million we spent seems justified. You buy cheap, you get cheap

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

I didn't watch todays game as i was painting the flat and had to unplug the tv, so i had to listen to talksport for the first time ever which was depressing. From the sounds of it we were frustrating in our play, Talksport commentary seemed to think Sheffield United deserved it but both teams had ch...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

I think Antonio is massive miss for us and would be a better partner fopr Haller as he plays higher up the pitch and provides that outlet. I think Anderson could bring more in that respect as he has the pace so should be closer to Haller but I feel like he is just staying out wide (maybe managers or...
