Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

We haven't had consistency for a long time now, different managers, different ideas and any new manager needs that time to bring their own players in to instill their ideas. I don't think this squad comes close to what Pellegrini wants, bringing in as many players as he has hasn't even touched the s...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Too right. We have gone from Allardyce (save us) to Bilic (we need to play football) to Moyes (save us) and then back to Pellegrini....there is no plan. They are just so desperate to stay in this league it gets in the way of future planning.

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

We dont really put the ball into the box, or oddly enough work the ball into box well when we have signed supposed "creative" players. We look absolutely abysmal when Lanzini and Fornals are in the same team, trying to do the same thing from deep leaving Haller completely isolated. The other issue i...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

they have no long term plan in place to replace one manager with another one on the same page. none. Exactly this. This is likely Pellegrini's last gig, the intention should have been to get a high profile manager in like Pellegrini, change the mentality of this club and finally make us look attrac...

The keeper... i have no words

How does Balbuena get in this ****ing team? He is absolute pony. We had Ogbonna playing well all season and this fraud still gets in the team..

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

I just feel like everything is a shortcut, he has ambition but wants to do it as cheap as possible. Our net spend, the foreign punts on loan, the free transfers and worst of all this gigantic bowl of a stadium thats is rented, not fit for football but can acommodate loads of bums on seats. Everythin...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

Why was Ogbonna dropped? I think he has been one of our better players this season. I would put Balbuena as our third choice centre back, i just don't think he looks that good and the £4million we spent seems justified. You buy cheap, you get cheap

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

I didn't watch todays game as i was painting the flat and had to unplug the tv, so i had to listen to talksport for the first time ever which was depressing. From the sounds of it we were frustrating in our play, Talksport commentary seemed to think Sheffield United deserved it but both teams had ch...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

I think Antonio is massive miss for us and would be a better partner fopr Haller as he plays higher up the pitch and provides that outlet. I think Anderson could bring more in that respect as he has the pace so should be closer to Haller but I feel like he is just staying out wide (maybe managers or...

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread

I know a few dont rate Ogbonna but personally i would have him in the first team over Diop and Balbuena. I am going to go against the grain here but Diop and Balbuena have too many mistakes in them and whilst overall they look the part, i NEVER have faith in them to go the full 90 without conceding ...

It is good to finally see him getting a chance in the Championship and doing well at that level. I think this season is his last chance to impress and push his way in, so hopefuly he continues doing well.

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

I think they are trying to waste as little time as possible which is good but all in all they are getting key decisions wrong. If we have the technology and are using an assistant referee then they should be able to say the ref is clearly wrong. That Haller penalty shout was as clear a penalty as yo...

Re: 'Tactical fouls'

My issue with City is that they often get away with it unpunished. Fernandinho can do it 4 or 5 times a game..Rodri against West Ham made numerous fouls and didnt get a caution. It doesn't really bother me that teams break up play, thats a part of the game but it should be a yellow card, but City wo...

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread

Too many playmakers in the first half and i think Pellgrini has made two mistakes this season, subbing Antonio against City and then dropping him for todays match. Can't remember the last time i see us so lightweight, we looked like little boys trying to attack Brighton in the first half, they just ...

Re: 0-13

It is so vital in my opinion to get off to a good start and the last 6 seasons opening fixture has been awful for us. We have had ridiculously bad luck with the fixture list over the years. It hardly lifts morale getting battered by a good side on the opening day and automatically adds pressure to t...

Re: Is competition dying?

Its the same all around Europe but yesterdays match and watching City vs Norwich, Sheffield United, Bournemouth etc is just rubbish. You have the sky panel analysing the game and saying these teams "were just not at it" and how great City are, their attitude, the way they pass it out without even a ...

Colours never run wrote:

Masuaku £6m
Balbuena £4m
Ogbonna £8m

Wouldn't call £40m on those 4 next to nothing. The wages to go with it too.
