Re: Running
Finished off Feb with a 16km run and I.felt rough. Calves, especially the front side of my shin were really tight. I think my 10km PB run on Monday took a lot out of me. Always amazes me how different I can feel from one run to the next. Sometimes 5km is the hardest thing in the world and then an 1...

Re: Nah, he plays as a Trequartista - but make sure someone holds in a double pivot
The names of roles dont really bother me much, a lot of these have been around for years especially in foreign leagues but just get used more often in modern times. I get its a bit poncey as players in the past have played these roles too, the bigger issue is they make inverted full backs and other ...

Re: Sheffield Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread
Even against Sheffield United our pass count and pass success rate was lower than the opposition :crylol: I didnt really think midfield was a priority but maybe Phillips is quite important to try and get some some form of control in the middle of the park. Our attackers will be back in a few weeks s...

Re: Ben Johnson
I do like Ben Johnson, he is decent defensively i think, but naturally he needs a run of games in order to show that. I think as a full back he is in the wrong era unfortunately, he is more of a conservatvie right back from 90/00s who would occasionally get up the pitch on the overlap. He is far too...

Re: ✍ Welcome, Konstantinos Mavropanos
Wonder if he had that injury on his mind from the last game, he didnt look at it yesterday and was hesitant in a duel where he would have scored. It was strange to see it from someone who in previous weeks has thrown his body at everything.

Re: ✍ Welcome to West Ham, Said Benrahma
It was very much the performance of someone who has been poor for ages, not selected for their National team and knows they are probably on their way out. A moment of madness and frustration. I dont really rate Benrahma in all honesty, apart from some purple patches i dont think he is good enough fo...

Re: Running
I just can't get going, i am going to defer my London Marathon place to 2025. I have had a calf issue for months now and just can't shake it so got no training in really. I have rested for a good month now and been doing strength excercises and now introducing slow and short runs again. Orginally, t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I feel like we are a no risk side, but in turn actually take a risk by not risking anything :crylol: Yesterday it came back to bite us by being negative as a 1 goal lead is never enough to sit on. Yesterday, at one point i was more than happy to see us hold on to a lead and take a 5th win a row, but...

Re: Running
Hoping to start marathon training next week, it has been constant with Shin splint pains and a numb leg on my left. It has been happening for quite a few months now I finally went to the physio and they determined it is knots in the calf muscle thats actually causing it all...after 30 minutes of exc...

Re: Running
I tend to stick to the same routes when doing my usual 10k distances or so, but then i dont really get bored on those runs. But when I am runnng longer routes i like to mix it up a bit as i get bored, its always nice to change it up a bit or run in different directions when you set off and go somewh...

Re: Running
Ha! I remember that now, just pipped to the sub-4. Can imagine that grating somewhat :) So what's your training program like? Would you mind sharing some details? Frequency and distance of your training runs, what you weigh, how fast you're running etc. Would be interesting to compare against my ow...

Good to have you back, Gib. What's your London PB? I remember tracking you round your first event, did you run it again since? Hope all is good  For London I wanted to beat 4 hours and got 4 hours 31 seconds and its haunted me ever since :crylol: Last year i ran Brighton in 3:47 so i want to ...

I got a ballot place after 8 years of applying for London Marathon next year Been waiting to start training, got shin splints in my left leg and even after a months rest its still not gone. I had them a few years back and had to pull out of the Valencia Marathon so hope this wont be the case again B...

Re: Ben Johnson
Some of the comments ive read on Ben Johnson (more on social media tbf) :thumbdn: He had a mare for sure, but so did the rest of the team. A young kid from the academy, could probably do with a bit more encouragement, from both the fans and the players. He was hung out to dry on Saturday against a p...

I feel like i have not seen many West Ham games where Zouma has not been on the floor at some point nursing an injury. He looks like another crock
Any tackle or last ditch run he makes, he is usually pulling up

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Everton: match thread
I think everyones saying PP's idea is bad but i remember being furious at Allardyce and 90 minutes later i was cheering a 3-0 win at the Lane playing a 4-6-0 Im not neccessarily saying we should do that but strangerthings have happened. Bowen has pretty much played a false 9 when we have had injurie...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I just cant be bothered with the short term options out there, only to be in this position again 6 months down the line :crylol: But i think this is where the ownership comes into play, we dont have a direction. Every other appointnment is a firefighter to correct our mistakes whereas Brighton have ...

Re: Football Manager Series
I guess, at a push it justifies the new title for updating the match engine somewhat but other than that it is a slight update on FM22 I do feel like they should take a break releasing a game every year and just do a patch update for a fee with the updated squads. Every season they release a game, t...
