Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

Even with my claret and blue tinted glasses I cannot for the life of me see us getting anything out of this.
We are just a total mess at the moment.
And, as others have said, whenever an opposition club is going through a difficult time who better to play than West Ham?

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

While we're all rightly praising Leicester it's worth remembering they're only where they are because they went into administration, what 7 or 8 years ago?
Thereby wiping out most of their debt. Not saying it was right or wrong. Everyone's got different views in that.
But it's worth remembering.

He doesn't want to be here. Simple as that. I don't think he's the type to throw his toys out of the pram a-la-Arnie, but his body language says it all to me.

Hayden Mullins blotted his copy book with me when he chased Steven Gerrard all over the pitch to swap shirts like a star struck schoolboy, after we had just been tanked 4-0 at Anfield, 2004 IIRC. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Last laugh on us if Moyes keeps them up and we drop!
IB will do well there. But I don't think we will drop.

Normal service has been resumed. Now to get a tanking from Arsenal (bad as they are, they will still tank us). And let's see what happens after that. :?

Re: pride of irons own goal

I believe most right thinking people wouldn't dream of singing abusive, racist songs about black/asian players now days. I also think if a player was to come out as gay he wouldn't get too much stick from the terraces (OK seats), but the rent boys thing is just a generic term used as a bit of fun an...

i thought the chant was made up after they sold Abramovitch?

No, they were known as the rent boys many years before the Russian mafia came along.
Bollox! Are still allowed to use the term 'Russian mafia' in the same context as Chelsea? We really need to clear these things up. :eh:

Not having this anti Jon Moss comments today. Not a good ref but I literally didn’t notice him yesterday in general play, sign of a good reffing performance.

Re: F A Cup 3rd Round draw

I don't care who it is, home or away. I just want us to give it a go for a change. I'm lucky (and old) enough to have seen us lift the trophy 3 times.
I want to see younger Hammers have that same feeling of elation and triumph.
