Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

In my experience on here, id say its much more likely that the ones on here that have supported the manager are likely to be saying the next bloke needs time, whilst the ones that turned on Moyes will start baying for blood…. It certainly be interesting to see how it comes to fruition That is very ...

Haven't Chelsea said that they wouldn't be interested in it?

Their Chairman Matthew Harding who died in that crash, whilst wealthy was not in the Abramovitch league.

Anyone know how many Leverkusen are bringing over? I'll bet they'll bring a hell of a lot more than the official allocation.

Well it's not over till the Fat Lady sings and all that. So who knows? But I think it will take a herculean effort for us to win this tie. But, we can only try. :newthumb:

As I said earlier, lose today and it's 9th. Nailed on now I reckon. Chelsea will definitely overtake us with 3 games in hand.

Everyone knows the manager is leaving and was screwed by the owner in January. I'd struggle to get motivated for a club with no ambition too.
Some might say that the huge salaries they're on should be motivation enough.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Support or followers? I believe most of the negativity is from people who follow the club, but I wouldnt classify as supporters. Look at the match day thread. Same posters, obviously don't go to games, repetitive and tedious posts etc. Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion, but that doesn't ...

For anyone under a certain age (not a young age) he is the best

If he goes, that will be his legacy.

If he stays, that legacy can continue.
In your opinion. Not shared by everyone.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The cup winners cup was a massive tournament back in the day. Not far behind the european cup (champions league)in status. Doing away with cup winners cup was one of the main reasons that the FA cup has diminished in status IMO.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If he does go he has left a fantastic legacy, most successful manager in our history, won a European cup, top 7 finishes in 2 of 3 difficult seasons where we had to rebuild the side, probably a very decent finish league wise this year coupled with a qtr final Europa appearance against the probable ...

Best I can see today is a draw, 2-2. I think we will (understandably) have one eye on Thursday.
I think most of us would take that in return for a decent result against Leverkusen. :scarfer:

A bit late on this,(probably already been posted) but just seen Postecoglou’s comments on Moyes after Tuesday’s game: "I guess it's a bit of today's world we live in where there is always a short-term reflex to everything that happens, but I've got no doubt he is one of the outstanding manager...
